Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2012
These were awesome! Definitely going to make these again. I doubled the recipe, as I was serving breakfast to four 11 year old boys (birthday party sleepover). I was hoping that doubling the recipe (to get 8 servings) would feed four kids plus two adults and two teenagers, but it wasn't near enough. It pretty much only fed the four kids and 1 other person. So if I'm in a similar situation again, I would triple or quadruple the recipe.

Uncle White's Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
These were awesome! Next time I think I'll double the recipe, as they disappeared so fast. First time I made these, I made them exactly as stated in the recipe. Second time I experimented and used the whole egg instead if just the yolk. I also put the oil in when I put the rest of the ingredients in - I didn't pause it to add it later. Still turned out great, no noticeable difference.

Creamy Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
I made this for dessert on Christmas Eve, it was amazing - rave reviews from everyone. Thanks for sharing it, Karin! For the crust, I used 1 1/4 c. graham crumbs, 1/4 c. butter, 1 tbsp. white sugar about 1/4 c. crushed pecans, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Baked at 350 for ten minutes, then allowed to cool before putting the cheesecake mixture in. Turned out delicious, I just wished I had a bit more time to let it cool in the oven (with the oven off) to prevent cracking....but there were pies waiting in line for the oven, so them's the breaks!

Joey's Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2011
These were awesome. Made as per the recipe, but added some leftover peanut butter chips. Made larger sized cookies, so in my oven they took 12 minutes at 375 degrees.

Fruity Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
really enjoyed this salad.... very versatile - I've used fresh mandarine oranges instead of canned (which I like better).

Cheddar Spirals

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
Made this for dinner tonight. Everyone loved it. Like some other reviewers, I also used half cheddar and half velveeta. Although the recipe calls for 1/2 cup butter, I used about 2 Tbsp. instead and it tasted great still - didn't miss it.

Easy Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2011
very good. everyone loved it. I used frozen berries (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and strawberries), so mine needed longer in the oven than if I had used fresh fruit. I followed the advice of a previous reviewer and cooked it according to the directions for 60 min, then turning the oven down to 300 degrees for a few more minutes to prevent over-browning of the edges while the center finished setting. I also replaced 50% of the sugar with splenda. The family splenda-hater didn't notice. Thanks for posting, I'll definitely use this recipe again.
