Lemon Pie Bars

Reviewed: May 8, 2013
I was disappointed in this recipe. There wasn't enough filling for the amount of crust, making the bars very thin. My crust turned out crumbly which made them difficult to get out of the pan. I followed the original recipe exactly. I would not make these again.

Six Threes Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
This ice cream is delicious. I used two of everything and it still did not all fit in my Cuisanart ice cream maker, in fact only about half fit in. It's a week later and the texture is still great-did not get too hard at all. At first I thought the banana flavor was too strong but as it sat in the freezer it seemed to get toned down. I will make it again.

Best Ever Blueberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2008
This was just ok to me. It did not have much flavor. I much prefer a crisp topping made with oatmeal and brown sugar. I won't be making this again.

World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2005
These were just ok. I didn't think they had much flavor. I made them using the exact directions. My husband said to throw the recipe out, so I will not be making these again.

Brunch Scones

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
This dough was extremely sticky to work with. I made the recipe exactly as the directions state. They looked beautiful but they did not taste that great. My husband said, "You can throw out this recipe" so I guess I will not be making them again.

Applesauce Bread I

Reviewed: May 12, 2005
This bread is delicious. I used 1/2 c. oil, vanilla yogurt instead of sour cream, and added one tsp each of vanilla and apple pie spice. It was very moist and had good flavor. I only needed to bake for 70 min.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: May 22, 2003
I made this with chicken breasts (on the bone). It did not carmelize either. My family really loved it and said it's a keeper. After it came out of the oven I took it off the bone and mixed it with the sauce so it was more flavorful. The sauce was very watery so next time I may try the corn starch to make it thicker.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2003
We enjoyed these very much. I added chocolate chips. You do need to let these cool for a while on the cookie sheet or they just fall apart.

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2002
This chicken is delicious! My picky daughter even wanted the leftovers which is very unusual. I added cooked noodles at the end and they got a little mushy, so next time I will just serve it over the noodles. The chicken was very moist. I left it in for 5 hours which was plenty. The whole family enjoyed it and I will make it again.

Fresh Pear Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2002
My husband and I really enjoyed this cake. He doesn't even like pears but liked this. It had a very nice flavor and was moist. I left the nuts out of the recipe. I sprinkled powdered sugar on top before serving and it looked very pretty.

Pear Bread I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2002
I received a basket of fruit as a gift and it had a lot of pears. No one in my family eats pears so I tried this recipe. My family loved it but I never told them there were pears in it and they couldn't tell. I left the nuts out of the recipe. It was very moist-almost tasted like my pumpkin bread recipe. I would make this again.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2002
The loaves are really delicious! They did get brown before the baking time was up so I put a tent of aluminum foil on top. Also, I couldn't figure out why Faye says the bread is rolled around cinnamon butter. It just said to brush the dough with milk then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on top, the roll. My family loved it and I plan to make them again.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2002
I didn't find this any different than "plain old French Toast". I am trying to figure out what everyone was raving about. My family didn't think it was any better either.

Best Ever Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2002
This is an excellent recipe! I made a batch with poppy seeds and lemon extract. The next batch was chocolate chip. I plan to try other variations. This is very versatile and they came out great!

Cheesy Cheeseburger Pizzas

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2002
I liked these and they were easy to make. My kids did not like the biscuit dough as a crust. They felt they would like the mixture on something that was more like a pizza crust. They told me not to make them again.

Apple Scones

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2002
The dough was so sticky I don't know how you can possibly knead it so I added more flour. My family did not really like these, although they were edible. I would not make them again.
