Chicken Tortilla Soup IV

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2004
This soup is amazing! I used leftover turkey, and substituted frozen veggies, but it turned out great. I like my soups a little thicker, so I added some corn starch. The family loved it with a dollop of sour cream and some grated cheese on top.

Lemon Pepper Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2003
I added oregano and some garlic powder to this for more flavour. It was a great sidedish with turkey scallopini. My family said it's a keeper!

Easy Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2003
This soup was fantastic! I added more Italian seasoning and salt than was called for, substituted apple juice for the wine, and used fresh tomatoes. I recommend this recipe to anyone looking for a hearty fall soup!

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2003
These biscuits are huge! I left the dough over night in the fridge wrapped in tinfoil, and when I baked them the next morning, they did turn out gigantic. They were a little more bland than some other recipes, but if you're looking for a plain flavoured biscuit to put with something else, this is your recipe!

Sausage Gravy I

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2003
I didn't enjoy this gravy as much as I thought I would. Maybe the sausage I bought was poor quality, but the gravy turned out oily and lumpy and tasteless. I don't recommend this recipe.

Cinnamon Swirl Bundt Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2003
This was soooo good! Our family of 3 ate it up in about 2 days! It was so moist and the flavour was perfect. I made more of the cinnamon and brown sugar mix, and that made the cake sweeter. Next time I will put two layers of cake, and two layers of the brown sugar mix for more colour and flavour. This cake is great for a mid morning coffee or for dessert.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2003
These pork chops turned out great! I left them in the oven to warm a little longer than I should have, so they were a little bit dry, but no one in my family seemed to mind! A great recipe if you like sweet sauces on your meat and a fabulous fall recipe!
