Beef Parmesan with Garlic Angel Hair Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2003
Wow. My fiance and I loved this dish. I chopped the veggies up because we don't like big pieces of pepper. I also used NY Strip steak cubes, so it was very tender. Next time, I'll definitely put more meat in because we were fighting each other over the last few pieces of steak :) This was excellent w/ 4-cheese spaghetti sauce (I forget which brand)

BLT Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2002
I thought this was a very tasty recipe, but the dressing was just a little bit bland and watery. Next time I may try adding some sour cream and some more pepper, but I liked it the way it was, too.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2002
I followed this recipe exactly and loved it. I enjoy reading other people's reviews because you can find some really good advice on the recipes you're making. For instance, thank you to everyone who mentioned that the cookies are done after 12 minutes even though they may not look it - you're absolutely right! They were done to perfection. Also, thank you to whoever suggested refrigerating the dough before using. That makes it much easier to handle. I have only one piece of advice to add: These cookies DO NOT spread out at all when they cook, so feel free to put them close together as possible on the cookie sheet - it will save you time if you're making all 7 dozen! Finally, thanks to Debbi for sharing such a wonderful recipe.

Aaahh! Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2002
ok, somebody help me out b/c I'm confused. Was I supposed to just add the cheese powder from the instant potatoes, or the whole package - potatoes and all?? I did end up adding the potatoes and wished I hadn't. The soup was good, but I think it would have been excellent if you leave out the instant potatoes, but use the cheese powder, and double up on the amount of fresh potatoes. Other than that, this is a good recipe. Thanks!

Beef Tips and Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2002
This was a really great recipe. We don't like mushrooms at all, so I used freshly grilled onions instead, and replaced the cream of mushroom soup w/ cream of celery. It was still delicous, and was so easy to prepare. My only warning to those considering making this recipe is that before you put it in the oven, it looks so gross!! The soups (both mix and condensed) are clumpy and look completely unappetizing. I almost considering scrapping the recipe right then and there. But after it cooks for an hour, this turns out to be a wonderful, thick gravy. Will make again.

French Onion Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2002
I'm sorry to say this, but this was the first recipe I got from this web-site that I didn't like. First of all, it had no flavor except for the wine. So, I added a tsp of salt and a beef boullion cube, and that improved it greatly. Secondly, there was entirely too much onion, and not enough broth. The quantities need to be adjusted. If those adjustments are made, I would give this recipe 4 stars, but as it stands, it only deserves 2.

This is a great recipe, and it's almost completely fool-proof for those of us who are prone to ruining recipes :)

Pumpkin Layer Cheesecake

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2002
I simply can't rave enough about this recipe. This was the first time I've ever made a cake/pie, and it turned out BEAUTIFUL and was absolutely delicious. When it was cut, the layers came out so well that everyone thought I had spent forever baking, but it only took me about 10 minutes to make. And did I mention that it was delicious?? Definitely try this recipe - everyone will love it.

Delicious Easy Chicken Francese

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2002
Let me start by saying I'm arguably the worst cook in the world. Therefore, it took me about an hour and a half to make this dish, but it was worth it. My boyfriend and I loved it! My only complaint is that the sauce wouldn't thicken, but it was really good anyway. Also, you should definitely use thin cutlets of chicken. The ones I used were a little too thick and therefore took forever to cook. Served over linguini w/ fresh italian bread - one of the best meals I've had in a long time!

Cold Tuna Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2002
Excellent recipe! My fiance and I both loved this. Only suggestion is to add dressing slowly to pasta/tuna mix. It doesn't look like there's going to be enough at first, but it ends up a little too creamy if you add all the dressing.

I personally hate blue cheese, but I made these as a treat for my fiance' who loves it. He said this recipe was fantastic! I'll just have to take his word for it.
