Unstuffed Cabbage

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
This was pretty good, but not the best in the stuffed/unstuffed cabbage catagory. Still, pretty tasty.

Stuffed Pepper Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2011
Very tasty soup! Mine turned out rather thick so I added about 2 cups of water to make it more soup-like.

Monte Cristo Sandwich - the Real One

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2011
I make a special brunch every Sunday for my husband. I made these for the first time. My husband loved them. I didn't care for them at all. Too much batter and grease for my taste. However, I might try the suggestion of cooking them like a cheese sandwich to avoid all the grease next time. So, a big hit as far as my husband was concerned and a big miss from my perspective.

Five-Minute Blueberry Pie

This was YUMMY! Quick to make, too! I used boysenberries but will use blueberries and other fruit in the future. Thanks for sharing, Milda.

Savory Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2011
This was wonderfully tasty and easy to make. Will make it again and again! I didn't have swiss, so used mozzarella. Also skipped the butter drizzle.

Tamale Loaf

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
Surpisingly tasty. Took other's advice to omit the eggs. Also, only cooked in the oven for about 45 minutes. Will make again, but take the suggestion to put a layer of cornmeal on top. Served with sourcream.

Earthquake Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2011
Easy and chocolatey delicious! I thought these were excellent (and I am not a big fan of chocolate cookies.) I used the mixer because hand mixing with a spoon was tiring. Turned out crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Just yummy! Reminds me of brownies. Will make again and again.

Crispy Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
Very crispy. I double dipped in buttermilk and flour mix, back to the buttermilk and flour mix. Loved the crispiness but it needed more spices, I think. I will be using this recipe again but add more spices.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
Oh my! I can't wait to make these again. And to make them with peaches. And rhubarb. I will reduce the sugar to one cup next time. I inadvertently bought biscuit dough instead of crescent rolls, but they turned out great anyway. I ate them plain and my husband enjoyed them with vanilla ice cream. A definite keeper!

Horseradish Pork Chops

Fabulous! So easy. Came out tasty and moist. Took about 35 minutes instead of 45 minutes to cook in the oven. Best chops I've ever eaten!

Chocolate Billionaires

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
Not what I was looking for, but they are tasty. Ended up being quite a bit of work because I could not get them off the greased non stick waxed paper! Looked online and there was a suggestion to put a cookie sheet in the oven at 175, when heated, set the waxed paper with the billionaires on top of the heated cookie sheet. That softened enough to remove them.

Tasty. I was looking for a recipe like my sister has which has layers. I tried to layer, and it tasted good, but the texture was off.

Tasty, but wish the egg mix would puff up thicker like at our favorite Chinese restaurant. How do they do that?
