Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
Fabulous! I second that this is the "Holy Grail of icing." You will have to add more milk, but do so at the end. Add a little at a time until you get the desired consistency. I didn't have corn syrup so I made simple syrup (1/2 cup sugar, 1/8 cup water will make enough for 2 teaspoons). This will probably also be great with vanilla extract. I am going to try it with lemon extract and yellow food coloring on shortbread cookies. Yum!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2012
These are delicious and perfect for the holidays. They are soft and chewy. Instead of rolling them in balls, I used a cookie scoop and dropped them into a bowl of sugar and rolled them around to coat them. It was less messy this way.

Greek Orzo Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
Great summer recipe! I used sliced olives and will use halved grape or cherry tomatoes next time. The artichoke juice is definitely necessary to keep the salad moist.

Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2012
Delicious and easy! I used 99% fat free turkey, reduced sodium soy sauce (although they were still slightly salty) and one egg white to make it healthier. Will definitely make these again!

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
I took the advice of others and added 1sp vanilla and 2tb of veg oil. The oil made them greasy and too soft that they folded over when you picked them up. Next time I will use less oil or none at all. The taste was good though. I used Devil's Food cake and white choc chips.

Gooey Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
Delicious and so quick & easy. You only need one bowl! They were light & fluffy with a delicious butter flavor. I followed the directions exactly & sifted some powdered sugar on top after they were done to make them pretty. Enjoy!

Marinade for Chicken

Very tasty. I used canola oil instead of veg and reduced the amount to make it healthier. I marinated it for 24 hrs. Will make this again.

Hot Bean Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2012
Delicious and easy! A big hit and one of my new go-to dips. This makes A LOT of dip. I froze half of it (before putting the cheese on the top). I wouldn't change anything except maybe adding more taco seasoning and hot sauce to your liking. Enjoy!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
Easy, basic sugar cookie. They are a soft cookie. I used 2 tsp of vanilla to give it a little more flavor. I rolled them in balls and pushed them down a little so that I could add sugar and sprinkles on top. I also used food coloring to make them pink for vday. Mine were ready in 8 min. Even if they look like they might need another minute, take them out!

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
Delicious! I refridgerated them for 4 hours and fried them in peanut oil. Wait to add the sauce until right before serving so that they stay crispy. After a while they will lose their crispiness, but still taste delicious. They got rave reviews. I will definitely be making these again.

Crustless Cranberry Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
Very good and very easy. Tastes great warm with vanilla ice cream. Yummm! I took the suggestions of other reviewers and did 1/2 vanilla and 1/2 almond extract. I also made the walnut/brown sugar topping and sprinkled it on top before baking.

White Chocolate Macadamia Cranberry Dreams

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
Delicious! My husband said they taste like the Pepperidge Farm Sausalito cookies, but with cranberries. You could also do these without the craisins to make some amazing white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Yummm!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
Declicious! This is going to be my new go-to dip recipe. I did not make any changes to the mix. The only thing I changed was sprinkling panko break crumbs on top along with shredded parmesan cheese (instead of grated). Everyone loved it. I cannot wait to make it again!

Pumpkin Pie French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
Delicious and easy. I used fat free milk instead of half & half because that's what I had on hand. It tasted great and made the recipe healthier. I also sprinkled the walnuts on top after it was done rather than putting it in the mix. I served them with the "Cinnamon Syrup" recipe on here. Will definitely make these again!

Cinnamon Syrup

Very easy and delicious. It's a lot sweeter than your typical maple syrup. Goes perfectly with the "Pumpkin Pie French Toast Recipe" on here.

Caramel Apple Pie II

Delicious! I used granny smith apples and a pie crust recipe from this website. I did not alter the recipe at all. Make sure you peel the apples (it doesn't say so in the recipe). This is a keeper. Enjoy!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
Very tasty and very easy. I used boneless pork chops. It comes out as a bbq type sauce that I'm sure would taste great on chicken too. The only change I made was using canola oil insteal of veg. I also used a little less oil than asked for to make it a bit healthier. I used a meat thermometer and it was ready in about 40 min rather than the 60min in the recipe. The recipe doesn't make that much sauce, so I recommend doubling it.
