My favorite things to cook
probably pies and breads. time consuming but worth it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Welsh Cakes! one of these days I'll put my old family recipe up here ;)

Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie
The pie recipe itself is nearly identical to the one on the back of the carnation evaporated milk can. great recipe, turned out perfect, but nothing super original. what makes this recipe much more useful to me is the instructions on how to get pumpkin puree out of an actual pumpkin. thanks!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread
the bread turned out awesome! I usually prefer white, but this bread is soft and more flavorful than most white breads I've made.

Squash and Apple Bake
My toddlers loved it because it was so very sweet it resembled a dessert more than part of a meal. I won't be making this dish again, however, I like the idea of cooking with apples in a more savory dish. It has inspired me to experiment more, minus the sugar!
