Fiesta Chicken and Black Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2013
This was delicious. The family loved it. The black bean and corn mixture really made the dish! I plan on using it for other dishes, it could be good just by itself. This is a keeper!

Vinegar Based BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: May 4, 2013
This is delicious! It makes the best pulled pork!!! I made this and then added it into the crock pot with some of the juices the meat was cooked in and added the meat again. I let it "talk" for about a half hour on high in the crockpot. Came out wonderful and tasty!

Cola Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2013
Very easy to prepare. My daughter loved this and my husband thought it was "okay". I did not tell them what was in it and tried to see if they could guess. my husband especially is not so keen on trying new things. Yet, I make him a guinea pig more often than he knows. I thought it was pretty good, flavorful. Mine did come out a bit dry, the pork chops were thick and the liquid did not cover them. I figure that could account for the dryness

Mom's Baked Beans II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
I did not use the ham. This reminded me a lot of my mothers beans. I have been searching for years to make hers.

Mongolian Beef I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2012
This was very tasty. I let the meat marinade in water, soy sauce and garlic w/o the cornstarch for a bit longer than 10 minutes. I added some Sriracha to the marinade as well as after it was done cooking to spice it up some more. Keeper status!

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2012
I really wish I could give me stars. This was awesome! It was super easy to make. The sauce was the best I have had in a long time! Definitely a keeper. I followed the directions given in the most helpful comment. It made it a little more clear on making the sauce and the batter. I plan on trying this with shrimp next. Awesome recipe!

Steak and Kidney Pie I

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
I soaked the kidney in milk overnight, cut into pieces. I did lightly flour then sauteed the kidney and steak in olive oil. Caramelized some onions and then made a gravy. I did not have puff pastry so left it out. Served this over rice. It was delicious.

Better Than Fruitcake Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2012
These had a very nice fruit cake taste. They flattened out more than I would have liked, but perhaps I cut it too thin. Because they turned out thin, they had a nice crispiness. Flavor excellent. I would definitely try again.

These are pretty good. Next time I will add a little more orange zest. The orange is very light and lends a fresh taste.

Basic Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2012
I am not a pie maker, but I love pie! This is the best crust I have ever eaten. This was so easy I will be making pies often. I don't think there is any way for this not to be the best crust ever. My husband who hates pie crust even gave it a go and said it was buttery, flaky and absolutely perfect. Said it would be the only pie crust he will ever eat again.

Wish I could give this more stars. My husband loved this! He is not a pie person so this was a miracle. I added a bit of vanilla extract and cinnamon. It was awesome and will be a regular with us.

This taste pretty good. The dough was a bit crumbly and not really easy to work with. They turned out very nice and they are nice and soft.

Easy Curry Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2012
Very easy to make, throw it and wait! That's the kind of dishes I like. I added a few things to the rice cooker. I added garlic powder, onion powder and extra curry. I'm using this as a base for a dish I make often and this was an awesome idea to cut down on prep time. I'd never thought to add anything but rice to the rice cooker! The only thing I see that it needs is salt, other wise the flavor of the curry isn't brought out.

Moist and Savory Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
This is a tasty dish. I left out the celery as my daughter hates it. Was the first time not using stove top. Would definitely make this again. I read some of the reviews that added different spices such as sage to it. We ate it just as it was and it was good.
