BLT Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
My family all liked this a lot. I will try it with iceburg lettuce next time since we prefer it to romaine. Don't add the crutons if you expcet to have leftovers....they will get soggy! Just serve them on the side.

Bodacious Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
My husband liked this more than I did. Just different tastes I guess. I thought the red wine vinegar was overpowering. I will try making it with red wine vinagrette next time....I'll get back to you on this!

Neapolitan Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2007
This was good, but nothing great. My colors didn't swirl like I had wanted them to.

Elvis Presley Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
There was nothing remarkable about this cake. I doubt I will make it again, but, if I did, I'd have to double the pineapple, cut the sugar in half, and leave the butter out of the icing.

Sour Cream Streusel Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
This would probably be better as a pound cake, leaving out the streusel. I used almost twice as much brown sugar and cinnamon as it called for and still didn't get much of a streusel taste. It was good, just not a real streusel kind of cake.

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
These were really good, but if you try to make 6 patties out of 1 lb. of ground beef, they aren't thick enough to wrap a slice of bacon around (unless you make them very very small like meatballs). Making 4 burgers from this recipe might make it easier. This is why I gave 4 stars and not 5. Taste was wonderful. My husband used the word meatloaf while eating it though :(

Beefy Cheesy Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2007
This was ok at first but the more I ate, the more I decided I really didn't care for it. It is very much like a variation of Hamburger Helper, which I eat occasionally. My husband said it was ok.

Chili Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
My family and I really liked this. I did not mash the potatoes but after stirring in all the ingredients, they were pretty mashed up anyway. I added some cooked shredded chicken, but not much. I will add more chicken next time. I also used the whole can of enchilada sauce (a little in the filling and the rest on top).

THE Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
This was good. The peas were a bit overpowering though It needed about a recipe and a half of the dressing as it was a little dry. It is very similar to a salad that I LOVE at Souper Salads excpet with corn instead of peas and ribbon pasta instead of shells. I'll modify next time to see if it comes out like the one at Souper Salads.

Quick Cheeseburger Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2007
There wasn't anything "quick" about this and I really didn't care for the taste. My husband and I each had a piece and probably won't finish the rest.

Best Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
This was OK, but not the "best". I am still searching for a good stroganoff recipe. The onions were overpowering plus something just seemed to be missing. Way too many noodles for the amount of beef mixture.

Pear Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
This is an extremely moist and delicous cake. I left out the dates, I don't like them. I considered adding a sweet glaze on top but decided that it would detract from the wonderful pear taste. A great way to use up the pears off your tree!

Streusel Coffee Cake

This was verrrry good! I made it in a 9X13 pan. The batter was a little thick and I was a little worried but it came out wonderfully.

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2007
This was edible, but not great. It was greasy and I used less oil as suggested by others. The edges rose and were cakey but the middle was flat.

Best Barbequed Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
I had no complaints from anyone at my table after trying these. They were great. Although they have alot of traditional meatloaf ingredients, they do not taste like meatloaf at all after grilling. To simplify, it may have feathers, webbed feet and a bill, but if it dosen't quack, it's not a duck.
