Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
If you do not want it too "mushy" be sure to use all of the loaf to french bread. Do not lay it flat in the pan but lay them at an angle against one another. When you add the liquid pour it over and in-between the slices. This gives more bread to soak up the liquid.

Colossal Caramel Apple Trifle

Just made this and looks great! I would say that if you are using a regular size trifle bowl, it seems like a lot. I only used half the recipe.

Duck Butter Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2009
I love the overall taste of this spread. Either I put in too much salt or the recipe called for too much because it was way too salty. I would suggest tasting it before adding all the sal and keep in mind that the crackers you serve with it will probably be salted also. I will make it again.

Christmas Cinnamon Pears

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
tried the recipe and it was great. I did combine it with another recipe for pears that used cream cheese balls rolled in pecans and topped with mayo and marachino cherry juice and them topped with the cherry for garnish. Adds that little bit of lacking flavor. Also if you want more cinnamon flavor add cinnamon extract.

Roasted Chicken Salad Bites

I served this for a wedding reception and it was a great hit! I think the secret is roasting the chicken and using both the light and dark meat of the chicken. Will use again.

Raspberry Almond Muffins

Reviewed: May 16, 2006
These muffins are great! I used only 1tsp almond extract and be sure the raspberries are still frozen when you put them in the mix. This will avoid the "gray" color. Also just lightly fold the berries in.

Taco Salad I

Reviewed: May 13, 2005
I really liked this recipe. It is fast and easy. I did however make a few changes. I use Texas stlye beans and I did not add the French dressing to the meat. I eliminated the water and place the dressing as an aside. Each person can use what they like or not use it. It is just as good with just the Sala and sour cream.

Hot Sweet Onion Dip

Great recipe! Everyone loved it. I didn't find it greasy at all. I did put it in two small round baking dishes about 5 inches across. I used 3 medium vadallia onions. Will make it again!

Sweet Green Bean Bundles

This is a great recipe. Evertime I make everyone raves about it. I case you are short of time I have spread the beans in a 9x13 pan, poured the sauce of the beans and layed the bacon over the top and backed as usual. Tastes great just not a fancy looking, but great if you are in a hurry!

Wonderful way to have hot home baked rolls for a dinner party without having the last minute hassel of trying to remember rising times etc. They tasted great also.

The taste was great! I had problems with the consistance of the frosting. Not sure if it was me or the recipe.

I alterd the recipe by leaving out the garlic. I just could not bring myself to add garlic to the apples. Even without if was wonderful. Would do again.

Carrot Souffle

Tried this at a dinner party and no one could believe they were eating carrots. I have had other similar dishes but they were a little too sweet, this was just right!
