Buttermilk Biscuits I

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2012
I like this recipe for biscuits! We did not access to butter at the time these were made so it was great! However, I think I will cut back on the amount of buttermilk used in the recipe, once it was mixed in, the dough was a little too moist for a bread product, and I needed to add more flour (which I know is normal in any bread recipe).

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2011
I did not completely follow the recipe, first I made a stock using the ham bone and I ended up tripling the recipe and while the stock was forming I cut my meat and veggies, giving time for a stock to form. For my rue: I tripled the amount of flour and butter but only added 3 cups of soymilk. For seasoning: parsley, black pepper, salt, garlic powder and bay leaves. It turned out really good

Authentic Mexican Tortillas

Amazing recipe!! However I would note that in order to get them extremely soft and pliable, use pre-creamed shortening. Using anything but will be opposite.

Duck and Yellow Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
Tough call. It turned out very delicious. When I prepared it I did not use the entire amount of soy sauce, [unsure of the exact amount to use, since it said "drizzle"], and I needed to add some Sweet Soy sauce at the end. But overall, it was very good!!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
I am glad I just made these out of boredom and not for anyone in particular, because these brownies were not good. Very disheartening :(
