Boardwalk Quality Maple Walnut Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
Made this for the first time (never had maple fudge before) and it was divine. My son can't keep his hands off it. I had to hide a few pieces so I can have some more!! Thanks for sharing. It will become a yearly Christmas treat (if not more often).

Jim's Cheddar Onion Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
Made this today to go with corned beef and cabbage. I have never had soda bread before and was anxious to try it. I invited my son over for lunch. He was hesitant to try it, but after our meal, he asked to take a plate home for dinner tonight and said to be sure and put 2-3 slices on his "to go" plate, and he's really not much of a bread eater. That tells me I will be making this again often. I also used green onions for the color. Thanks for the post--it was delicious.

Flea Terminator Dog Treats

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
My dogs love these. So far, no fleas and we live in hot, sunny FL. I took the lazy way out. Spread the batter onto 2 cookie sheets. After 20 minutes, I removed them from the oven, scored them into bite size pieces then returned to the oven for overnight. The next morning, I just broke them where scored. I also used nutritional yeast and sodium free bouillon. Thanks for sharing.

Garlic Alfredo Tilapia

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
Delicious. Doubled the recipe as I was feeding 3 grown men and myself. Should have tripled it! Not a morsel left. I also used the roasted red pepper sauce which a reviewer suggested and it was great. Thanks for sharing.

Sausage and Cornbread Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
Absolutely wonderful. I have used my recipe for dressing for years and always thought it was pretty good. Today, I was looking for something a little different to go with baked pork chops and came across this recipe. Gave it a try, and sure glad I did. The seasonings were perfect. I'll trash my old recipe and stick with this one from now on!!

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Oh my! This was delicious. I practically licked the plate clean. Made only minor adjustments. Added one can chicken broth instead of water. I like a soupier sauce as the pasta soaks up so much liquid. Doubled mushrooms and cream cheese and added some green peas leftover in the frig. Will be making this often. Thanks for sharing.

My husband said this was delicious which means a lot. I subbed shrimp for the crawfish because I had those on hand. Will try crawfish next time. Loved the cayenne. We love spicy!!

Absolutely delicious! My hubby (who is not a sweet eater at all) ate 2 large pieces yesterday. I added a layer of Hershey's hot fudge sauce to the cooled pastry. I'll be making this often.

Seafood Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2009
I made this yesterday to take to a party today. I asked my husband to taste test it for me. He had to eat two bowls to test! Thank goodness I doubled the recipe so I may have some left to share at the party. I did add about 1/2 cup of sour creme I needed to use up. Excellent recipe.

I cannot believe my picky, picky husband absolutely loved this. He hates crawfish, so I too subbed shrimp. The whole pot was gone in two meals (just two of us!). Thanks for sharing.

Never Fail Applesauce Spice Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
Absolutely delicious. Omitted the cloves (don't care for them) and used cinnamon flavored applesauce. Got rave reviews from taking to a birthday party last night. Will definitely make many more times. My oven took 40 minutes--it was perfectly done.

Ice Box Fruitcake

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2007
I grew up in Mobile, AL, and this was a yearly treat Mother prepared this time of year--over 40 years ago. She is no longer with us, but this recipe made me smile. The only difference (other than omitting the raisins) was that she rolled it into a log in foil and sliced it into small circles. Thanks so much for the memories.

Took this to a family fish fry yesterday and the bowl was practically licked clean! My father-in-law refuses to eat grits, but I convinced him to give this a try. He went back for seconds. I'll be making this many more times. Thanks from one Carmen to another.

Cheese and Bacon Potato Rounds

Reviewed: May 17, 2006
I made these a few weeks ago and my hubby and I loved them. Today I wanted a single serving and didn't want to heat the oven to bake just one potato. I sliced one russet potato thinly and fried in a skillet (with butter) for about 5-7 minutes until they were tender and browned, then put the toppings on and covered the skillet for about 2 minutes until the cheese melted. They were perfect and saved a lot of time and I didn't have to heat up the house with the oven.

Blueberry Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2005
My husband fell in love with this on Thanksgiving day. The only thing I did different was to use the drained pineapple juice plus enough water to equal two cups before boiling. I have had to make it twice since then. Will definitely become a family favorite. Thanks Robin.
