Bolognese Stuffed Bell Peppers

This was so delicious! I did make a few changes but nothing too major and mostly at the suggestion of other reviewers: blanched peppers for 3 minutes, added one clove minced garlic to carrot/celery saute, doubled red pepper flakes because we like our food spicy, added some salt and garlic powder here and there, and mixed 2tbsp panko bread crumbs to parm.cheese topping for added crunch. This is definitely going into regular dinner rotation.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

I was really disappointed in this one. I followed ALL of the suggestions given by others, and it still didn't turn out. For one, the cream cheese was a bad idea-I won't make that mistake again. It never fully incorporated with the rest of the sauce and wasn't smooth. I'm glad I was home to watch this one because it kept wanting to burn, even on low. Not sure what else I can do to make this one work. Will stick with recipe I normally use for stroganoff.

No Bake Cookies V

Came out great, just like I remembered no bakes. Used creamy peanut butter and omitted the salt. Let mixture boil for about 1 min. 15 sec. stirring constantly, and they set up perfectly in about 30 minutes. Will definitely make again. (and again, and again...)

Stuffed Pork Chops III

Gave this four stars because I made several changes, but this is a great base recipe. Used butterfly chops, and it was much easier than cutting slits, and made for less mess. Also soaked chops in a brine for about 2 hours before cooking. Made them much more tender. Used 1 cup savory herb flavored boxed stuffing, sauted onion and added celery to stuffing mix as well. Gave it more texture and flavor. Chops came out very moist and tender, could cut with a fork. Will definitely make again.

Good Ol' Alabama Sweet Tea

Yummy! Used 5 regular sized bags of Lipton, and filled picher with ice instead of water. Added some lime juice also. Turned out perfect!

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

This recipe is awesome! I made this for a dinner party, and everyone raved about it. The only change I made was adding a little salt and pepper to the sauce. Otherwise, it's perfect! Served with Olive and Cheese bread (recipe on this site), salad, and a bottle of Muscado. Yummm!!

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Really really tasty! The only changes I made were to drain the corn, add a can of black beans, and add a little bit of fresh cilantro. This was super easy and I had everything on hand. Goes perfect with a batch of cornbread.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

This bread is awesome, just like Macaroni Grille! The only change I made was using milk instead of water because it makes a more tender crust. We dipped it in olive oil and cracked pepper and served it with lasagna. Yummy. It will make your whole house smell great, too! Also makes a wonderful cheesy garlic bread!

Incredibly Delicious Italian Cream Cake

I made this cake for my daughter's birthday and it was so delicious. I did make a few minor changes: I used all butter flavored shortening instead of 1/2 butter, 1/2 shortening, and I left out the nuts, coconut, and light cream in the frosting. It seemed more delicate that way. I didn't think there was enough batter for 3 layers, so I just made two. This cake was moist, rich, and got rave reviews from everyone at our party. In fact, I'm making another one today just for us because the other just went too fast!!

American Lasagna

I made this for a dinner party we had for my daughter's birthday. We had 12 guests and they all raved about this lasagna. Most were saying it was the best they had ever eaten. It's very easy also, so don't let the homemade sauce scare you away. I made mine the morning of the party to let the flavors set in. I will definitely make this again!
