No Fry Crab Rangoon

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2014
Wonton wrappers are not meant to be baked. They come out of the oven burnt on the edges and barely palatable, and extremely chewy. It doesn't take much to fry them....I do not own a fryer so I simply put some oil in my skillet and cooked them on each side until they were golden brown and crispy-as wontons should be.

Sweet and Spicy Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2014
Best side dish recipe I've ever tried! I make these all the time, and every time I do, they are an absolute hit! Don't try and substitute the chili garlic sauce-it is the KEY ingredient in these!

Blue Cheese Crusted Filet Mignon with Port Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2014
This recipe was ok. I added some wild mushrooms to the sauce for added flavor and it was good, although next time I think I'll skip the sauce entirely. The steaks with the blue cheese topping, all melty and crisp on top, had enough flavor without the sauce. I also used tenderloins as the butcher was out of filets, and they were just as delicious.

Sausage, Potato and Kale Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2014
This soup was a hit. I made it one night for a first date type of thing. It was the first time I had ever cooked for this man. After being very skeptical of the kale, he absolutely loved it so much he went back for seconds!

Company Cauliflower

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
My husband rarely eats vegetables, especially cauliflower! When I presented this to him at the dinner table he absolutely loved it! In fact, he devoured it all and I had no leftovers. The addition of the celery and onion made it so much better! I used real chicken boullion, and skipped the cheese for a healthier approach and it was still amazing!

Easy Sausage Cheese Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
I use this recipe all the time!!! I cut the baking mix down by about 1/4 cup, as I like my balls a little meatier. My boyfriend and roommates can't get enough of these. Also, I dipped them in maple syrup and it was AMAZING. I might figure out some sort of maple flavored dip.
