Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic
I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and am going to make it again for Christmas. Even people not big on yams loved this. As like others, I cut back on the amount of the white and brown sugar and it was plenty sweet. I highly recommend this recipe.

Chicken In Basil Cream
This is a yummy recipe. I doubled the chicken stock, but not the cream (I used 1/2 and 1/2) and boiled and stirred for 5 min to have enough sauce. I also added an egg to the milk before dipping in the crumbs. I was afraid the parmesan flavor would be too strong for my husband, who is not a lover of parmesan, but he just loved the recipe...whew! I'd recommend this delicious recipe. My only problem was one of time management! Getting it all put together at the end at the same time was a bit tricky...that's all on me, though. Next time I'd get the pasta and vegetable ready and then do the chicken!

Our family always uses Seagrams VO - called a "VO Manhattan"...much tastier. My grandfather always added a dash of bitters and an orange slice (of course cherry is a must). The orange slice adds a nice surprise. We were all from Manhattan:)
