Zippy Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2013
SOOOO Good!! I didn't give it 4 stars b/c i was disappointed that it wasn't more firm out of the oven. I think the mashed potatoes would've had the chance to "dry out" a little if I baked the entire casserole rather than have just broiled it for 5 minutes. Followed recipe EXACTLY -- was sooo tasty! Thank you!

Seminary Muffins

Great Great Great! I mixed it up a little - added one TSP of butter, I am not sure why . . . mixed 1/2 cup of all purpose with 1/2 cup of rice flour. Used Peach applesauce and fresh blueberries. Yummy!

Rye Bread Party Pizzas

I just made these and can't bring myself to eat them or serve them. I follow recipe exactly - I am now trying to salvage them with a can of Rotel.

Irish Cream Bundt Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
Yay!! It was a hit!! I had all ingredients on hand and followed the directions exactly - great cake. I got a little caught up on the topping. I added cold baileys to the hot sugar and it immediately started to clump up. I had to return the sugar mixture to the heat to liquify it again. BUT, it was perfecto in the end!!!

My dough didn't rise to the top, the dough was quite gummy. I cooked it at 375 for 55 minutes.

Avocado Feta Salsa

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2012
Served this at a party. RAVE reviews. My Mother-in-law kept saying - "this is delicious, and I don't like guacamole". My mother, who has probably never eaten an Avocado requested this as a pre-Thanksgiving appetizer. Didn't change a thing!

Parmesan Fondue

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2012
This was not good. I added the wine as other reviewers suggested - it was a waste of cheese and time.

Ground Turkey Noodle Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2012
I stuck with the recipe except for the powdered milk. I used regular milk. This is a solid recipe for kids or lunch, not special enough for an adult dinner.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2012
Excellent!!!! I combined butter, garlic and lemon in a sauce pan and heated through. I dipped tilapia filets in mixture. Then I dredged them through panko breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, parmesan and parsley. Cooked at 400 for 12 minutes and was blown away! Sooo easy and quick! Yay!! Thanks for the recipe!

This was surprisingly good. I added white wine instead of so much broth

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2011
good, but as other reviews noted - sort of bland. Definitely needs some sort of vegetable added, I thought string beans would be good and perhaps topping it with French's french fried onions would be better!

excellent flavor - very easy to prepare. I made these at Thanksgiving, which I wouldn't recommend - they would've gone much better with beef.

Outrageous Warm Chicken Nacho Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
People were flipping out over this dip. Not quite sure why it had to be made in a crock pot. One jalopeno barely made a dent, maybe 3 would be appropriate.

Cioppino

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
My husband said the broth tasted like dirty dishwater. After spending $60 on all of the items that go into this dish, and hearing that - i was very disappointed. I thought it was okay, but I served myself the stew over a piece of crusty garlic bread.

Spaghetti with Broccoli and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2009
Tweaked it a little bit -- as follows: put broccoli in steamer over pasta while it was cooking - less pots to clean up. Added a few ingredients; onion powder, basil paste (available in produce section) 1/4 cup of white wine, also used sea salt (half of what the recipe called for. My husband raved - such a simple dish to prepare - so much taste!
