Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
WOW, these are great. I added 1/2 tsp cinnamon to the flour mix and 1/2 tsp vanilla and used 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar to banana mix. The crumb topping is awesome adds a nice little crunch to the moist muffin. Best banana muffins I ever made.

This was really good. Needed something different for Kielbasa and this was nice. Pan seared the keilbasa with some garlic and onions, made the sauce (eyeballed amounts to taste)omitted hot pepper and used cayenne. Slow cooked for about 3.5 hrs on low, served over rice, really good.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2011
WOW I really dont like meatloaf, but this was fantastic. Family loved it, even our 3yr old who doesn't like anything "hamburger". Would even serve this to company - really that good! I did add a few things to the meatloaf according to our tastes (including some of the glaze - which is a must) I did lighten up on the brown sugar a little and probably would again next time I make it (used 1/2 cup not packed brwn sugar - again would go alittle lighter next time). used bread crumbs in place of crackers, added garlic, omitted ginger.

French Pastry Pie Crust

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
I made this crust today for my hubby's 40th, he wanted his favorite apple pie. This was easy and simple and it rolled out nice. Great taste too and I'm not big on crusts. With the left overs I used small cookie cutters and made cookies rolled in cinnamon and sugar and baked a few minutes - 3 yr old loved them.

Peanut Butter Apple Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
I also add extra p.b. but this is a great dip for fruits & crackers. HINT: use pineapple juice on fresh cut fruit instead of lemon juice to keep it from turning brown, it adds a much nicer, milder flavor to fruit than the over bearing taste of lemon.

Sweet and Savory Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2013
WOW !!! This was really good. I used Dr Pepper (cause that's what the neighbor had - we don't drink soda) didn't used whiskey (used small amount of apple juice in place) and didn't get the chance to let roast sit w/ the dry rub on it - a time issue. So good - for those of you that skip the searing part - don't, it carmelizes the brown sugar mixture and gives it such a great flavor, cant express enough I think it truly adds to the flavor in the meat. So yummy really doesn't need the bbq sauce (made some homemade too). Made some fried rice to accompany - excellent Sunday Football meal ! and the Patriots won - great food great win great Sunday !!!

Out of this World Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2013
I brined my turkey last year for the first time with this recipe, and I can not believe the difference it made - juicy, tender & savory. I used a clean cooler to do it in and stored it in my garage (Mass. - cold this time of year)I added apple juice (about 1/2 gal) with cut up apples, a little bit of nutmeg, allspice & cinnamon. I put it in on Tuesday night and let it sit till Thurs. morning. So yummy definitely worth the time & little effort. GREAT RECIPE - Thanks

my hubby loves these - using a 9x13 pan I double the recipe - use 1/2 wht and 1/2 brown sugars, we use raspberry jam for a more sweet/tart effect and add a little more than it calls for, I also end up using a little more butter to keep the crust together. very yummy !

Felix K.'s 'Don't even try to say these aren't the best you've ever eaten, because they are' Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2012
these are excellent cookies - thought the name was a bit over confident, however they are pretty darn good! Although because of the 300 oven takes a long time to bake, but the outcome at the lower temp makesa the difference (upped it to 350 for one batch and immediatly lowered it after the one tray)
