I really enjoy trying new receipes. Making new dishes when we have company is always fun. I enjoy sharing my receipes too. Dishes that are unique yet made of ordinary ingredients. Make ahead dishes are great too. The old standby--Thanksgiving turkey is my favorite tradition. We have even called our daughter long distance when she couldn't be home just to share the day with her. We always ask if she can smell the turkey. Buttering it was her favorite part. Learning to can up our own produce from the garden to enjoy all winter long. I made rubarb pie for our pastor and put salt in instead of sugar! We ended up having ice cream for dessert but got a good laugh.
