Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
Wow, this recipe was brilliant. I doubled it and added one more egg (so 3 eggs altogether). I also left out the salt, and used demerara sugar instead. SO delicious, and they really cooked well and didn't feel too doughy.

Bread Salad with Tofu

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
I used this recipe with medium-firm tofu that had been marinated in balsamic vinegar. Also, substituted soba noodles for bread. It was great.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2007
It tastes a lot like a ball of cocoa. But if you like cocoa (as we do), these are great cookies. I rolled them in regular granulated sugar and it burned on the bottom, but this was my fault. Otherwise, they were really great cookies, and very unusual in that they kept their spherical shape.

Chocolate Filled Bon-Bons

Once again, these cookies were good, but not sweet enough, in my estimation. They were enjoyable, but not fabulous.

Kartoshnik with Cheese and Onions

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
This is an easy-to-follow, straightforward recipe. We really enjoyed this Russian potato cake. It's great on its own or with some sour cream. It really does bake up big and fluffy.

Spicy South Of The Border Spinach Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
This dip is yummy and great with nachos or crackers. The recipe is easy to follow and there are no "crazy" ingredients that are hard to find. Highly reccommended; takes awhile to prepare but it is definitely worth it.

Dill Wrapped Cream Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2003
This recipe has certainly left something out. A giant chunk of cream cheese in the middle of a huge portion of dough does not a recipe make. We were disappointed at first, then eventually made it into a joke -- was there ANYONE at this New Year's Party who would eat a slice? If you have any doubts, imagine a 1 x 2 x 4 inch chunk of cream cheese. Now imagine yourself trying to eat it. The dough around it made little to no difference. I can't imagine how this recipe could be improved; I will look for another with very different directions. DO NOT make this appetizer or you will find yourself nauseous at the thought of cream cheese for weeks to come.

Divinity Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2002
These cookies were bland and not nearly sweet enough -- closer to bread than sweetbread. Unworthy of my time and particularly my walnuts!
