Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Made this recipe over the weekend and loved it. I did have to substitute on can of diced tomatoes for the stewed because I only had one but I really don't think it made much of a difference. I have issues with cooking with wine because the receipes rarely tell you a type to use. I googled it and kept coming up with don't use a wine you wouldn't drink, well I wouldn't drink any dry white wine so I went with a sweet. It turned out great. I didn't need the sugar I've seen in a lot of reviews so I guess I did an okay job. Overall I'd recommend this recipe and I loved that I could use my own organic ingredients, made be feel better about eating it.

Pressure Cooker Teriyaki Chicken

This was my first attempt and using a pressure cooker so I was expecting it to take less time that it did. I only had 1.5 lbs of chicken thighs so I did change the original recipe slightly. I only gave it 4 stars because it was spicier than I expected, I think next time I'll cut the ginger in half and do a mix of thighs & breast meat and there will def be a next time.

Loaded Potato Soup I

Love this as a base recipe. When in a pinch I will use a bag of frozen diced hash browns and just simmer a few extra minutes. I also add the onions to the butter first to make sure they are nice & soft. Not enough cheese for me either so I add more & I've substituted Colby & it's relish. Last I add bacon bits in instead of just as a garnish.

Chicken Salad with Apples, Grapes, and Walnuts

I recently had chicken salad from a restaurant with apples & grapes and loved it so I wanted to try making it at home. This recipe is really good. I made a few adjustments for my own taste and pantry, I don't like celery so I used celery salt, went with gala apples instead of granny smith, used vanilla greek yogurt and cubed the chicken instead of shredding it. With those substitutes it's a definite keeper recipe. The recipe made a ton so next time I'll half it but I would recommend!!

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

It drives me crazy when people rate recipes high then process to totally change it in their reviews. I tried this one because it had such a great rating with so many reviews & I didn't see too many people with revisions. It was only okay, too much work & expense for a fairly bland mac & cheese. I liked the creaminess but I want it to be cheesier.
