Chicken Jalfrezi

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
This tasted awesome and was so easy! I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews where people did not like turmeric. I didn't know if I liked it or not but I forged ahead and tried the recipe and I'm so glad a did. I followed the recipe except I left out the ghee and cilantro. I served it with quinoa and topped it with chopped green onions. I will definitely make this again.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
I read reviews and only cooked them a little over 15 minutes based on reviews. Normally we would not eat brussels sprouts because we don't like them. However, several friends said to prepare them this way and we would like them. Well, we tried them and still don't like them. Roasting them made them edible, which was better than other methods but we would not make this again.

Campbell's® Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
I made the recipe as written. Next time I might leave out the soy sauce. It is really good with fresh green beans and the french onions. It is your traditional Thanksgiving green bean casserole.

Swanson® Ultra Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
This is a good solid recipe. I like using yukon gold potatoes for mashed potatoes because they are so buttery. I quartered the potatoes so they took longer to boil, about 20 minutes. What size you cut the potatoes is important because the time required will need to be adjusted. Keep this in mind when trying to time everything for a holiday dinner. The potatoes were very good. Like others mentioned, the broth makes the potatoes a little more yellow or gold than white. I used milk instead of cream and it still tasted great.

Moist and Savory Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2012
This recipe is a good base recipe to use as a starting point and time saver. However, I like to add additional celery and onions as well as sage, poultry seasoning, black pepper and parsley.

Firefighter's Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2012
This was just OK for us. I made these cookies as written and they came out flat. Next time I would refrigerate the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Also, I agree with another reviewer that I would recommend cutting back on the baking soda. Not sure if I will make these again as there are many other excellent cookie recipes on this site.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2012
OMG! These little muffins are addictive! I have seen reviews and comments on the buzz about these donut muffins and I finally got around to trying them. They are so little and cute that it is easy to pop four in your mouth before even thinking about it. I can't make these often but for a special treat, these are great.

Ultimate Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2012
Yum! This was delicious. My husband loved it. I sprinkled the steak with seasoned salt, black pepper, and granulated garlic and left out the liquid smoke. I probably used triple the amount of worcestershire. I also added sautéed red and green bell peppers in addition to the onions.

Greek-Cajun-Tex Shrimp

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2012
This cajun / texas interpretation of greek shrimp tastes awesome. The sauce has lots of flavor and is great on crusty bread. It is also very quick and easy to make. You can have dinner on the table in about 20 minutes. It was so good we had it for dinner a few days later on a weeknight. I served the shrimp over pasta and my husband made shrimp tacos with it. It is now one of our favorite dinners.

Easy Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2012
This recipe was easy and delicious. Like other reviewers I used about 3 tablespoons of Taco Seasoning I from this site (minus the salt) instead of the chili powder and cumin to give it a little more flavor and heat. I also used a light sour cream instead of mayonnaise and pepper jack cheese for the monterey Jack Cheese. I forgot to cover it in foil and the cheese on top got a little overdone. Next time i will cover it in foil until the last 10 minutes or so. I served it with cornbread and it was delicious.

Quick Pork Fried Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
Yum! This made a delicious, quick and easy lunch using some leftover pork chops. I used the vegetables I had on hand, which included all the vegetables in the recipe, except for the celery. In addition, I added some sweet peas and a scrambled egg. Thanks sharing your delicious recipe, Carrie.

Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2012
This was delicious. I loved the bacon, egg, and cheese combination. Since another reviewer said it was dry I added a little (maybe a teaspoon) of salsa to each one and some chopped green onion. My only problem was I that I can't seem to roll a crescent, so they were a little lopsided, but they tasted great!

Cheesy Bacon Crescents

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2012
This was a quick and easy recipe that tasted good. It has bacon so it has to be good. It is like a BLT without the Lettuce. I used the crescent rolls and it probably would have been a little easier to fold up if I had used the crescent sheets. Next time I might add a little ranch dressing or jalapeños for a variation. Thanks for a quick and easy recipe.

Champagne Island Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
The sauce of this chicken is awesome! I used some of the ingredients from Trader Joe's that were recommended by other AllRecipes Allstars. The Orange Muscat Champagne Vinegar adds a delicious unique flavor. This chicken dish would be an excellent option to serve to guests. If you don't have a Trader Joe's near you, then I recommend moving as soon as you can to be near one! Just kidding...sorta. Maybe if you are real nice, a kind friend can ship you some of the items.

Cajun Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2012
This is a delicious, spicy, quick and easy shrimp appetizer or dinner that is ready in only 10 minutes. I like a medium spice level and the spice level was just right for me. If you like a mildly spiced dish, I recommend cutting back on the cayenne. Next time I think I would like to grill the shrimp instead. Thanks for sharing the recipe SlimCookins.

Spicy Jalapeno Whole Wheat Pasta Toss

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2012
This recipe was delicious and I will make it again. Since we don't have Al Fresco in our area, I had to substitute another chicken sausage but otherwise followed the recipe for the most part. I did not have asparagus but used a dry shredded broccoli slaw that I had. I also used whole penne instead of whole wheat shell pasta. I would have used Al Fresco if it was sold in our area.
