Salsa Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2012
I have made similar recipes, but this one was the best. I have two boys, 5 and 10 and they never eat ANYTHING I make. They actually loved this. Couldn't stop saying it was the best chicken I ever made. That NEVER happens. I had sour cream on mine, and it was delish. Thank you for sharing!

Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2012
I grew up with my mother making a similar recipe, but it used water instead of milk. This recipe is the best one I have tried in a while. I made it according to the recipe with rave reviews from my family, including my picky boys. I made it again a couple days later (yes, my kids loved it that much) but just using a yellow cake mix, no chocolate chips, and buttercream frosting. That went over just as well! Thank you so much for this recipe, I will be making it again and again I'm sure!

Savory Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
I have been making this for over a year now, and my family loves it. I find that simmering it on the stove for a good 45 minutes really makes it nice and tender, and thickens the sauce up a bit. I usually serve this with mashed potatoes, using the sauce as a "gravy" but have done it with rice too. Also, had to substitute the orange marmalade for apple jam and it was good that way too. I love the orange flavor though, so I will make sure to have the orange marmalade on hand for next time!

Apple Pie Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2013
I made this recipe this afternoon. It is a keeper! The only thing I found, was that it made more than what is stated above. I ended up with 12 large muffins, and then added some chopped pecans and made another 12 mini muffins! Both were delicious. I will definitely use this recipe again!

Divine Meatloaf

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2011
We will definitely make this again. However, as much as my kids and myself enjoy ketchup, it was just too much. The kids scraped it off before eating. We don't do mushrooms, I added a little more bell pepper and used butter crackers instead of saltines (didn't have any). If you have picky kids, I'd suggest dicing the veggies until they are almost pureed. They hide better that way! I will probably try to "hide" more veggies next time!

Aimee's Quick Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
This is a great, easy recipe. I love the cheese/bacon/mustard combo! My two boys, ages 6 and 10, who can be very picky ate it up too! I marinated my chicken first, with lime, garlic, vinegar/oil overnight. I find if I don't marinate, the chicken is never as good. I also used partially cooked bacon strips, vs the bacon bits. I broiled on low for a few minutes before serving so the bacon was crispy, along with the cheese, and it was yummy! It can be very salty, so choose your teriyaki sauce wisely!

Easter Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
I was so excited for this after all the reviews. I made it exactly as listed, other than that I broiled the hash browns for about 15 minutes first. I love cheese, but there is just too much in this. The cooking time was way too long and the cheese made it rubbery. My husband liked it enough to eat it, but me and my 2 boys did not. Next time I will decrease the cheese for sure and decrease the cooking time. Its a great base to work with for sure.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
I have never cooked salmon before. My husband likes it, and always orders it when we go out, so I figured I'd try it. I probably cooked it wrong, but it was mushy. I didn't like it at all, and my husband didn't love it. Next time I think I'll try a cook top recipe, vs an oven recipe.
