Filet Mignon with Mushroom-Cabernet Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
Excellent! Except I did not cook the beef in the sauce. I pan seared them and cooked them in the oven. I used the sauce on top of the beef when I served them. I served it with garlic mashed potatoes and a spring mix.

Appetizer Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2006
It was a hit! Greasy yes, but I think that comes from the cheese and the butter you grease the dish with. Very good!

Cheesiest Potatoes Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2002
I don't know if it is a typo, but 1 hour at 250 F is not enough for this recipe. I tried it and it took at least 2 hours before I could put a fork in the potatoes. Try it at 350 F instead.

Beef Tenderloin in Creamy Porcini Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
Really great with beef but even better with a pork roast. Try it out. I have also substituted shallots for the red onions. They are a bit more subtle than the red onions. Fabulous!

Foil Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2008
My mother-in-law saves the foil wrappers from her butter in the freezer. There is usually just enought butter left on them to give potatoes a crispy skin. You can save on fat too!

So easy and quick! I never thought I would use sage with pasta. Would definitely make again.

Fantastic Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2006
This was so easy and tastes so good. It was the perfect mix of cheese potatoes and vegetables. I left out the olives and it still turned out well.

Family Style Mac & Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
Loved it! Made it with both of my Home-ec classes. Easy to make and to tweak it and make it more cheddary (?) I added McLaren's Imperial aged chddar. Just a few chunks crumbled in with the grated cheese give it a really reat taste. I like it chunky, so this recipe turned out great.

Italian Wedding Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2006
Absolutely the best recipe for wedding soup. I make it almost everytime it is my turn for our staff luncheon. I use spinach instead of escarole.
