Shrimp Egg Foo Young
This recipe is better than my local Chinese takeout. I did use diced chicken, beat 5 eggs instead of 4, added a whole can of drained LaChoy chinese vegetables along with the green onions and garlic powder. I found non-stick mini-skillets (the type to fry one egg) to make the patties perfectly round and all one size. I made the sauce as written the first time and did not like the vinegar addition, so omitted it the second time, used less sugar and it was excellent. Couldn't get a thick consistency with the cornstarch, so added more than written. Making again for dinner tonite. Great recipe !

Dad's Leftover Turkey Pot Pie
Looking for recipe today for leftover turkey breast and had all these ingredients on hand so made it for dinner tonite. AWESOME! I've made other pot pies and none compare to this one. I did scale the recipe down to one pie (six servings), and it was perfect. Omitted the Italian seasoning and substituted a sprinkle of thyme, used thawed mixed veggies, to which I added the celery and chopped onion and sauteed in butter. The other seasonings right on target and consistency of the filling was not runny nor too thick. Definitely making again 'cause its a keeper!

Sweet Russian Cabbage Soup
Great recipe ! Didn't change too much except a little more vinegar. I've made this several times and my grandpa would be proud. He was from Lithuania and made a cabbage soup similar to this. He used to serve it with a boiled potato and sometimes a slice of rye bread with butter. A whole meal in itself especially in cold, nasty winter weather.
