Old Fashioned Strawberry Pie
This pie turned out pretty well. I did follow the advice of others and only put in 3/4 cups of sugar after tasting the strawberries, and also putting in 1/2 cup flour instead for thicker juice. There was another person who suggested baking it on high heat (425) for the first 1/2 hour, then lowering the heat to 350 for another 20 minutes, I did follow that. It turned out really well! I must also add I left out the cinnamon, and totally forgot about the butter until it was in the oven. Once it cooled, and it was cut up for dessert there really wasn't any juice spilling out anywhere, it had all been congealed. Everyone loved it! And on the upside, it also made the house smell like warm strawberry jam. I'll definitely be making this again. :)

Guinness(R) Corned Beef
I'm giving this two stars because I was able to eat the meat, but nothing else. Granted everything was cooked right, it just all tasted like Guinness...except the meat for the most part. I'd strongly suggest only making this dish if you actually LIKE the taste of Guinness because no matter what you do, the vegetables, especially the potatoes will soak up the beer flavor. If I try this again I will only be using a beef broth or something similar.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I
I'm not an expert bread maker, but this recipe was easy to follow and my bread turned out great! I wasn't sure if I would actually get the 3 loaves lised as the yield, but I sure did! I wish the bread was a bit sweeter, next time I'll just try to add a whole cup of sugar instead of just a 1/2 cup. Although, my husband did eat half a loaf by himself the first day I made these. I had to hide the other two so they'll last. It is a great recipe, I'll definately be making this again!
