Baby Ruth™ Layer Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2002
I cheated by using cake mix and it turned out great. Prepare 1 pkg. of yellow or butter recipe cake mix by using 4 eggs, 2/3 cup water, 1/2 cup peanut butter, 1/2 softened butter or margarine and add the chopped candy bars. Then follow the rest of the recipe. Apologies to the submitter, but I think this variation is just as good and a lot less time-consuming to make!

Best Ever Chocolate-Free Blondies

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2002
I don't like chocolate, but I love peanut butter, so these were great. I substituted salted peanuts for the pecans in the recipe and it added more peanut taste!

Asian Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2002
I've also made this salad and added cubed cooked chicken for a summer main dish. I've brought it to pot lucks and some people didn't like it, but most (including me) loved it. The people who didn't seem to like it weren't adventurous when it came to trying new things; some people are just too used to ordinary foods, so don't let that stop you (unless you or your family think the only good coleslaw comes from Kentucky Fried Chicken)!

Fry Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2002
I love this sauce, but you can't find it in Denver. So I've been making my own. I use fat-free mayonnaise and barbeque sauce instead of ketchup. It has more flavor. Whenever we eat out and order fries, I ask for a side of mayo & barbeque sauce and mix my own! I've had lots of people ask me what I was doing and when they tried it, they were hooked! (The Good Times hamburger chain in Colorado has something very similar called "wild dippin' sauce).
