Pat's Baked Beans
I made this recipe for a family get together and it was delicious!!! I've tried several other baked bean recipes and this was the best, hands down. I love the variety of beans in it. You can pretty much use whatever kind you like. The flavor was great. I followed the recipe exactly as I do not like to rate a recipe I have altered, like so many do. You will not be disappointed if you make these !

Baked Oatmeal II
I just made this and it turned out very good. I love oatmeal anyway, and eat it practically everyday. It was fun to try a different way of making it. I first had it at a brunch at church. This recipe was way better. At first I made it exactly as written, only omitting the salt bc I used salted butter. It just didn't look like quite enough in the 9x13 pan (we are a family of 6). So I decided to half the recipe again. That was perfect. I also added probably an extra 3/4 cup milk (to hopefully avoid it being too dry). I still baked it for 40 minutes. It was just the right amount of time. Oh yes, by the way, I greased the bottom and sides of the baking dish with the stick of butter before melting it. I served it hot drizzled with a couple tablespoons of half and half. That little bit of half and half made a really good dish great. My 6 yr old asked if i could "make it lots of times". Also I didn't have cranberries so I didn't put them in. Can't wait to try it though. I will definately make this again.
