Very good, however, I only eat turkey bacon and it was all delicious!! Saves a lot of calories and fat too.

Mama's Italian Wedding Soup

I make this frequently, however, I prefer to use the meatloaf mix (veal, pork, and beef combined). Most grocery stores sell it as meatloaf mix. In addition, I use BOTH garlic (fresh) and onion. Makes a big difference to not use garlic powder. Also, it is just as nutritious to use frozen chopped spinach. MUSIC_MINX, below has a great tip for making the meatballs. Tried it, and it works great! Enjoy!

New-Fashioned Pumpkin Pie

This is a wonderful pie recipe, with or without the pumpkin pie spice or added individually. Have been making this recipe for MANY years, however, I do make my own piecrust. It is better and less expensive. Happy Holiday! Mary

Perfect Apple Pie

I have been making this recipe for 51 years although I too dab the apples with butter before putting on the top crust.I also use more cinnamon, probably a tsp., plus nutmeg and a little allspice. My Mom made this recipe from 1933 when she married till her death in 2002. Of course we both make our own pie crusts, although the Pillsbury refrig. ones are very good and do save time. I put evaporated milk (brush it on) the crust before baking. It also makes the crust a lucious color. Great recipe!!!

Meatloaf Cordon Bleu

I love meatloaf and followed this recipe to the letter, except for one addition. It took around 1 1/2 hr. to get completely done, however, I think the ham makes the ground beef appear to be not done when it really is. I also put a can of mushroom soup on top which is the only addition that I made. Everyone was being very gracious at dinner, until I said, "I don't know about you, but I don't care for this at all". They all agreed. I have been cooking for over 46 years and rarely use a recipe. So, guess I will just continue with my own, in my head, recipes in the future. Sorry, Brenda, but will not be making this again,... we all voted!! I am glad for you, however, that some others did enjoy it. It may be possible that my ground beef was too lean.
