Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
Use Knorr Vegetable Recipe dry mix. Use at least 16 oz of sour cream; next time I will use even more as this turned out a little too salty for my taste. Use 3 or 4 sliced green onions too. This is sooooo good!

Awesome Spicy Beef Kabobs OR Haitian Voodoo Sticks

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
Delish. I used 6 beef bouillon cubes, 4 tablespoons of water, 1 teaspoon of cayenne, and omitted the salt. It was almost spicy enough for me, and almost too spicy for my husband. So that was about right for us (one spice lover, and one not). It bordered on being too salty so definitely omit the extra salt and consider the extra water or less bouillon. I also grilled on med-high heat for about 4 minutes a side as we like it medium rare. We ate it with pita bread and the sauce "Yai Yai's Tzatziki sauce" from this site. I took my first bite and was in culinary heaven. Loved.

Old Settlers' Baked Beans

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
This had great flavor and was easy to make. I took others advice and halved the sugars and it was still quite sweet.

Mom's Hearty Beef Stew with Dumplings

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
This was absolutely fantastic! Great flavor. I did reduce the potatoes to about 4, and added canned green beans and corn. I used Bisquick for the dumplings.

Smoked Herb Chicken

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
The chicken came out much too dry for me, and I reduced cooking time by 1/2 hour. Definitely check the meat towards the end to see if it is overcooking. Other than that, I used apple chips and it gave a great flavor.

Ken's Kickin' Posole

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
This recipe is delicious!! The only other time I have had Posole was at a Traditional Spanish celebration with friends from Mexico who own a Mexican restaurant, so it was the real thing. And this recipe is almost identical. May be too spicy for some. Def needs the lime and cabbage to garnish. I served with warm corn tortillas. Thanks for this recipe!

Easy Chicken Satay

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
The sauce has a great taste but def needs some heat. I added red pepper flakes and next time will add even more. I also added chopped cilantro to the marinade and it was delish.

Ramen Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
So yummy! I also used rice wine, a bag of cole slaw, and browned the seeds, almonds, and Ramen over high on the stove. At dinner my husband looks and says "I'm not a fan of cole slaw", I told him it wasn't and had him try it; he had three servings.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
Absolutely delicious! I made them exactly to the recipe and they turned out wonderful. They even came out better than the picture. I used an air pan and that does make quite a difference in the look of the cookie. They are perfectly moist and sweet.

Yia Yia's Tzatziki Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
This tastes very authentic. I halved the sour cream and yogurt, peeled and seeded a regular cucumber, used a lot more garlic, added a bit of dill and lemon juice, and put it all in the blender :) We ate it with pita bread and the meat from the recipe "Awesome Spicy Beef Kabobs or Haitian Voodoo Sticks' from this site. Absolutely fabulous.
