Simply Roasted Artichokes

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2014
Delicious! I can't wait to make these again. I added a pinch of crushed oregano and black pepper to the other ingredients, stir everything in a small bowl and then drizzle between the leaves with the garlic cloves in the center. I don't think I'll be steaming artichokes ever again. Thanks Chef John for a great recipe. Oh, and I've kept the cloves to use later on in something else!

Catfish Tuscany

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2013
Delicious! I added 2 crushed cloves of garlic with the salt and pepper and peeled and seeded the tomatoes. As well, I used tilapia instead of catfish and added 2 tablespoons of capers. It was quick and easy for a weeknight meal served with roasted fingerling potatoes. Thank you Ann Marie for a fabulous recipe!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2012
Lordy- I can't believe I just baked these up. Unbelievable- here's what I did since I don't have a bread machine: I mixed 2 1/2 teaspoons yeast, 1/2 warm water and 1 teaspoon sugar. Stir once and left for 6 minutes to proof in warm oven. Using my Kitchen Aid mixer, I added all of the wet ingredients, then added the proofed yeast and 1 cup of flour at a time, kneading slowly with the dough hook for about 6 minutes total. I removed the dough, oild the mixer bowl and put it back in, covered the bowl and let it rise for 1 hour 40 minutes. I then punched the dough down, made 16 balls and placed them in a parchment-lined 9x13 glass dish. I covered with cling wrap that I sprayed with oil so it didn't stick to the rolls and let it rise for 40 minutes. I removed the wrap, placed in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 13 minutes. I did not use the additional 1/4 butter to brush them- I left them alone. Excellent recipe. Thanks a million, Donna.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: May 12, 2011
I don't know how this got to be 41/2 star rating when most people altered the recipe. I made this following the recipe exactly as written and found it to be tasteless since no salt or pepper were included in the recipe. I sprinkled some salt on the rest of the breasts after tasting one and hopefully hubby can eat it for supper.
