Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2011
This was amazing. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've had ever. I used 4 tsp of Creole seasoning in place of the two tsp of Cajun seasoning. I used two tbsp of extra virgin olive oil in place of the butter to cook the chicken. I added some minced garlic to the chicken while it was cooking (maybe 3 cloves). I added the parmesan to the heavy cream also added 1/2 tbsp of cornstarch to help thicken the sauce. My husband loved this, and he doesn't really like bell peppers. Thank you, Carol!

Classic Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
These were my first go at making homemade cinnamon rolls. They were delicious once they were finally done. I forgot to reserve the potato water. I used more sugar and cinnamon in the filling than called for. And next time, I would make more icing. I do recommend using a stoneware cookie sheet or something that in non-stick, so they don't burn. My husband loved these and took them to work this morning. Make these on a day off though when you have time to spare.

Tangy Beef Turnovers

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2011
I only used half a white onion. I added 3 or 4 cloves of garlic to the meat while it was cooking. I used a 14 oz can of sauerkraut and mixed it with 1/4 cup relish, 2 tbsp brown sugar, and 1 tbsp of mustard before adding to the meat (see sauerkraut hot dog topping from this site). I enjoyed them a lot. I think my husband felt this was more of a lunch food than a dinner food. I rated it a four because I altered so much of the recipe to add flavor. I didn't pay attention to how much it made. I only made one thing of crescents and had lots of left over filling, which is fine because it tastes amazing alone.

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
My husband and I loved this. Like other reviewers, I doubled the recipe for the sauce. I did not have pimentos, but it tasted great without them. I only used about 1/8 cup of basil in the sauce. I needed more bread crumbs than what the recipe called for, more like 1 cup. I also added flour to the sauce to thicken it up.
