Savory Vegetable Beef Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
made this and loved it as did my husband and my kids. I made minor changes such as adding mushrooms and celery, no-salt beef broth instead of water and granules and ground (no-salt) tomatoes instead of tomatoe sauce and omitted the salt (I have a sodium reduced diet). For making this with no salt products it was amazing and it had ton of flavour. I am making this again tomorrow for my in-laws!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
These cookies were awesome!! I didnt have butter flavoured shortening so I just used no salt butter instead. I also had to substitute allspice for cloves. My husband and kids both loved them so much they were gone before I knew it! I am doing another batch today!

Tomato Soup

Reviewed: May 18, 2011
LOW SODIUM VERSION I made this soup today and it was delicious!! As most people do I made some changes to cut down on the sodium to make a reduced sodium version. I sauted some carrot, celery, onion and cucumber in olive oil with garlic and worchestshire. Then I added no salt chicken stock and with my hand blender blizted til smooth. Then I added a can of italian plum tomatoes (Gigi brand) and blitzed. These tomatoes only contain natural salt no added salt. I let this simmer for an hour. I did also add a dash of sugar to help with the acidity. This soup was wonderful.

Corned Beef and Cabbage I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
awesome! I never made this was corned beef - I always used a cottage roll. The only thing I did differently was add turnip along with the potatoes and carrots as well as collard greens and cabbage. My family loves this meal!!

Quick Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I tried this recipe but used 1/2 cup of each brown and white sugar. I also added about 1/4 cup of flour as I found it too wet witout the flour. I am not sure if this was because I used whipped peanut butter or not. My kids and hubby loved them!!!
