French Onion Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
I don't keep broth on hand so I used beef bouillon to make my broth. Like another reviewer, I didn't add water which kept the flavor stronger. I improvised on the bread, using the country white I had in my fridge, but the end result - even in my unskilled hands - was delicious! It's a keeper! Thanks for sharing it.

Wilted Spinach and Almond Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
This was totally worth making a special trip to the grocery store to pick up the ingredients. I added grilled portobello mushrooms and sliced strawberries.

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2013
I was never a big fan of pork chops, but this recipe changed my mind. I didn't make any changes to the ingredients for the sauce and I thought it tasted wonderful. Not to heavy on the raspberry and not too heavy on the vinegar. Be sure to use white WINE vinegar and not straight white vinegar. It makes a difference.

The Best Chicken Soup Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Today I woke up with a cold and the urge to cook something from scratch so what better to make than chicken soup - except I'm not a fan chicken noodle soup. Considering that my only experience with chicken noodle soup was from a can, I decided to throw caution to the wind and make this soup. Coming from someone who doesn't like celery or cooked onions, this soup is quite good. The vegetables cooked up nice and soft so they're a non-issue, and combined with the pasta and the chicken, the soup is quite satisfying. If I had it to do again, I think I would use dark meat chicken only as it's wonderfully moist. Oh! And after having a bowl of this soup, my cold feels much better!

Cucumbers And Egg Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
I have never eaten egg salad before - eggs were never a food I considered eating cold - but I wanted something "new" for lunch and I figured I like eggs. I like mayonnaise. I like cucumbers and I like pickles, so I threw caution to the wind, and made this recipe for lunch yesterday. It was very delicious and I will definitely be making it again.
