About this Cook
I'm a 20 year old trapped in a 51 year old body!! Seriously, I don't feel my age...until I look in the mirror! ;-)
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook anything that isn't fatty or sweet. I like to eat as healthy as I can so try to mostly cook that way too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
As of Ukrainian ancestry, I grew up eating my fair share of perogies and cabbage rolls. These days, I consider them to be a rare treat and I haven't made either for many years.
My cooking triumphs
My best cooking is when I roast and stuff a chicken with all the trimmings. I've been known to whip up a pretty decent gravy, whether it's from chicken. a roast of beef or pork.
My cooking tragedies
Lamb chops under the broiler one time had me open all the windows in the dead of winter! Smelled up the entire house for hours afterward and never tried them again. Likely spoiled meat. We ordered pizza that night!

Chicken Cordon Bleu Lasagna
Made as written but used non-hydrogenated margarine, low fat cream and Swiss cheeses plus whole wheat lasagna noodles to make the recipe healthier. Loose bread crumbs did not appeal to me and if I make this again I will blend with a little margarine to hold them together. All in all I was pleased with how this turned out; I was able to use up a lot of leftovers in my fridge and it was delicious!
