Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
Very fun to make! For aesthetics, make sure to fully submerge the shaped pretzels into the baking soda-water solution and to frequently stir the solution between dips. Since I did not do either the first time, my fingerprints showed up on the pretzels as white spots and some pretzels came out with a marbleized look. Also this recipe is much sweeter than the mall ones, which is perfect is you are sprinkling them with cinnamon and sugar. Next time I am going to make the dough with half the required brown sugar and sprinkle with kosher salt.

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
Great Blondes! I mixed the chocolate chips directly into the batter and baked them for the extra 10 minutes as suggested in previous reviews and they came out soft and fully cooked. Also, this is definitely a rich sweet blonde (most recipes call for half the brown sugar) and I love it for that very reason!

Pro Ganache

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
I used to work in a chocolate store and would make handmade truffles. This ganache frosting recipe is very similar to those ganache truffle fillings: very rich and also melts in your mouth! I followed this recipe exactly and it had a very liquid consistency at first even though it had been cooled to room temperature. I solved this problem by refrigerating it overnight and then letting it warm up to almost room temperature right before frosting the cupcakes. My coworkers loved this frosting and said it appeared very light (little did they know how much heavy cream was in it).

No Bake Fudge Cookies

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
This recipe is a must have for your recipe box because it is so simple to make and really does satisfy sweet cravings. I found this particular recipe to have the best ratio of ingredients and as a result I am replacing my old family recipe with this one!

Delicious cookies and perfect for the holidays! Just be aware that these cookies are cake/muffin like and taste best with the glaze.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 14, 2011
Yum yum yum! Awesome chocolate cake which taste great with a peanut butter frosting! I baked this cake in two 8 inch rounds and noticed that the chocolate chips burned to the bottom of the pans. Next time I might try pouring a small amount of batter without chocolate chips on the bottoms of the pans, then mixing the chips into the rest of the batter and pouring that on top.

Followed a previous review and used a brownie crust instead of cookie crumbs. This cake has a wonderful flavor, smoothness, and appearance!

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
Great dessert for peanut butter lovers like myself! I made a few changes: halved the recipe to make one pie, used the oreo premade crust, added 1/4 cup extra peanut butter, and used crushed up peanut butter cups throughout.

This recipe tastes just as amazing as the dish at the authentic Russian restaurant in my city! I like to serve it over egg noodles or rotini.

Fluffy Biscuits

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
I always double this recipe and freeze 3/4 of them once cooked. Then I can easily reheat 1-2 as needed in the microwave. This method taste better and cost less compared to the store bought dough. I also use half butter and half shortening, and simply roll them by hand onto the cookie sheets.
