Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2015
I didn't have time to bake it for an hour, then freeze for 45 minutes so I just baked it at 350 for 35 minutes and we ate it warm out of the oven.It was excellent. I'll try it following the recipe next time but this recipe is great either way.

Awesome recipe!!! I baked it in the oven because I didn't have time for the crock pot, it took about 1 1/2 hours on 325 degrees.

Double Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
Love this recipe for quick dinner rolls. I don't usually have mashed potato flakes on hand so I use oat bran instead. I also use 1/2 whole wheat flour to add some fiber. And I do without onion powder.

Pork Chop and Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2006
I'll have to make this my new favorite pork chop recipe. My old one was the baked pork chop I recipe from this site. I did make a an adjustment to make it similar to the other recipe. I added 1/2 cup white wine to the sauce as well as another can of mushroom soup. I also follow the advice of some of the other reviewers and sauted the potatoes and onions before baking them in the sauce. I think this recipe was better because I liked the addition of the potatoes, and it was a little less time consuming.

Pork Roast with Thyme

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2006
We did not like this recipe at all. The meat was dry and didn't have much of a taste besides vinegar.

Cola Pot Roast I

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2005
My husband said this is his favorite roast recipe. I didn't have the spaghetti seasoning so I used italian diced tomatoes and added some oregano, basil, and marjoram. I also omitted the salt and used garlic powder instead since some people felt this recipe was a bit salty. I didn't even brown the roast, I just threw in all in a crock pot on the lowest setting for 8 hours and it fell apart because it was so tender.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2005
This is a great recipe for a quick rice pudding. It wasn't as creamy as I like, maybe because I used long grain rice. I'll try doubling the "pudding" part of the recipe next time and use the same amount of rice.

Barley Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2005
This is a great recipe. I've made it several time since I found it a few months ago. The only change I make is that I saute the onions until they are a little browned before I add the barley and pine nuts. I like it better when the onions are browned.

Brown Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2003
Great recipe. We absolutly loved these cookies. I didn't bother with the icing, they don't need it. The only thing I will do different next time is toast the pecans first. Thanks so much, I will be using this recipe over and over.

Amby Rae's Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2003
We loved this recipe with a few changes. I think the lemon juice made it. I decreased the sour cream to 1 cup and added even a bit more lemon juice. I also agree with the fact that if you use dry mint, you need to be generous. I also added diced onion. I will make this again and again. I also left the olive oil out. Thanks.

Potato and Beef-Tortilla Skillet

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2002
Great recipe. Very easy. I agree it needs a little more spice or even some jalapeno or chili peppers to give it a kick. I added green pepper and onion to the ground beef too. My husband loved this dish.
