Cream of Asparagus Soup I

Reviewed: May 18, 2002
Wow, what a delicious soup, everyone loved it and it was gone in a flash. I did make a couple of changes also after reading the other reviews. I omitted the bouillion powder and used 2 chicken bouillon cubes, used olive oil instead of margarine, put in 2 medium potatoes, and omitted the cream. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful soup, it is now on the top of my list of favorite soups.

Wow, this was delicious and my first attempt at making clam chowder. I made several minor changes also: 5 cans of chopped clams, 2 tsp. thyme, 1/2 c. butter, 1/2 c. flour, 2%milk in place of cream. I'll definately be making this again real soon!!

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2002
I read all the great reviews on this recipe so I just had to try it, and boy am I glad I did. It was sooo good!!! All the other salmon recipes that I have are now history, as this is delicious and easy. I only used 2 tbl. olive oil, 1/2 tsp. each of salt and pepper, and increased lemon juice to 3 tbl. I marinated the salmon for about 3 hours. I had to cut the cooking time down to 25 min. as it was done when I first checked it. Thanks Norma for a wonderful recipe!!

Beer Butt Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2003
After reading all the great reviews I just had to try this recipe. Sorry to say I was not impressed at all. Although the chicken was very moist it had little to no flavor so I won't be making this again.

Carrot and Raisin Salad II

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2003
Initially when I tasted this salad just after making it I didn't like it, too much mayo flavor but after putting in the fridge for several hours it was delicious. All the flavors blended and it was yummy. I also used light mayo and light sour cream. This recipe is a keeper, have made it twice already this week.

Potato, Broccoli and Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2004
I just finished eating this wonderful yummy soup, and it was so easy to make. I did make a few adjustments: I used 4 cups cubed russet potatoes, 1 1lb. bag frozen broccoli flowets, 1 c. chopped onion as I thought 2 cups would be over powering, in place of the bouillion cubes and 5 cups of water I used 2 14oz. cans chicken broth and 1 cup water also added 3 crushed garlic cloves, and only used 8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese. I cooked the broccoli in with the potatoes as other reviewers suggested and then pureed 1/2 the soup and it turned out nice and creamy. This will be a regular in our house during the winter months. Thanks Ruth for sharing this 5 ***** recipe.

OMG, this was so good. Followed recipe almost exactly except I left out the salt and added about 1/2 lb. left over baked ham and 1 large clove of minced garlic.
