Angel Food Cake III

The texture in angel food is as important as the flavor in my opinion and did not like either.

Strawberry Meringue Cake

I have made this recipe quite a few times and I make it exactly as written. I don't understand others problem with having too much batter so they decreased the amount. Most all cakes do rise above the pan. I also do not find it messy. It is a very easy cake to make with great results. Try making first as written. I think you'll be happy.

Fabulous Homemade Bread

I could only get in 8 cups flour. I'm guessing because the air is so dry. The rest of the recipe I followed and my bread fell! The taste was good. I also rolled out some and made a pepperoni cheese loaf. That was very good. Why would it fall? It was quiet here. Any suggestions?

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

I have also done it this way for many years. I put the vegetables on the bottom then the turkey, breast down. According to Wolfgang Puck this lets the juices go through the breast making the white meat nice & moist. Spices and soup according to your own preference.

Devil Dogs

We don't have Devil Dogs where I live but we do have Suzy Q and they are like them.I Doubled the filling using butter as I was out of shortening and put cocoa in half of it and in the white half I added almond extract. After the first batch ,I made the cakes smaller than a tablespoon because they really puff up in the oven. I will certainly make these again!

The World's Best Turkey

I think this was a awful recipe however the technique is wonderful. I have been using cooking bags for years for turkey, roasts and ham. It makes the turkey very moist and great gravy. The gravy in this recipe was a bit acidy from the champagne.So give a cooking bag a try but add spices that you like.

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Like other reviewer said terrible shortbread but the rest is wonderful!! The shortbread was crumbly and tasteless. I used a silicone pan and had no problem getting them out.It wasn't as defined as the picture either. I will make again with a different shortbread.

Strawberry Pineapple Bread

It didn't say if the berries are the whole ones or the sliced ones with juice. I used a combination. It came out good except as it was cooling they fell in the middle. I put a almond flavor glaze on them and they tasted great. I'll try again with just whole berries.

Grandma's Gingersnaps

Ultimate Sugar Cookies

I added a little cinnamon. I didn't have any trouble rolling them out, they were only in the refrigerator about 45 min. then I dusted the counter and rolling pin with powdered sugar no problem sticking. I did however put them back in the refrigerator between batches.

Banana Cake VI

I take one star away because the texture is not like a cake but more like a bread. I'll take another star away for banana flavor because there is not alot of flavor and I used very ripe bananas. That leaves it at 3 stars. I won't make this again, there is better ones out there.

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

I used cream instead of the milk , and I probably used about 8 T. of it. This recipe is very good. If I don't keep my finger out of the bowl I'll end up making another batch. In fact next time I will double it because it doesn't look like enough.

Angel Food Cake II

I make 3-4 angle food cakes a month .Followed the recipe exactly. It did not rise much and there was not much taste which is odd considering I even put in acouple extra drops of almond extract. I will not make this recipe again.
