Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup
This is a good basic recipe to build upon either with chicken or vegetarian style. The recipe as is definetly needs some kick from adding extra spices. Many other of the reviewers complained of too much salt as well. To eliminate some of the salt content, I use canned beans and corn with no added salt and rinsed each well. I also simmered two bone chicken breasts with a 1/4 tsp salt and a few pepper corns, when done removed bones and shredded. I then used the broth from the chicken breast in the soup and then added the veggies. Instead of two cans of cream of chicken soup, recommended by others I used only about 1/4 cup of red enchilada sauce, to add some additional kick to the additional spices. I too then followed the recipe by adding baked tortilla chips, homemade at the bottom of the bowel.

Slow Cooker Beef Pot Roast
Excelllent pot roast. I have tried differnent slow cooker versions and by far is the BEST!!!! The only addition I did was double the mushrooms and onion. I also made extra mushroom gravy on the side. Thank you Chef John laura

Easy Vegetable Beef Soup
This recipe is a great base for a beef vegetable soup. The recipe as is has way too much salt, probably secondary to the boullion. So instead of the boullion I used homemade beef stock, a recipe from this site and added minced garlic and 1 1/2 tsp of thyme. I also added chopped celery and added fresh green beans to the veggie mixture. Thank you for submitting this recipe for us. Laura
