I live in North Texas. Does anyone know where and when I can buy rhubarb or rhubarb pies?

Usually in a grocery store. Is rhubarb tough to find down there? I'm in Canada, grows like a weed here.

Hi Sonya! Have you thought about posting your question over at the Recipe Buzz? It's a great place to get questions just like this answered and there are lots of super awesome people that hang out over there. To get there, all you have to do is click on the tab that says "Recipe Buzz" right next to the one that says "Blogs" just to the left of your profile picture. In the meantime, I agree with Raedwulf. When rhubarb is in season, you can usually find it in the produce section of the grocery store. If you want to buy a ready-made pie, you could try calling around to some local bakeries and see if they make them.

Here in the Northeast, rhubarb is a late spring into early summer crop. I haven't looked recently, but I know you used to be able to buy it frozen pretty much year round.

I live in Southern Louisiana and yeah, it's really hard to find in the South. Have you tried a Whole Foods (if there's one in your area) or another specialty store? Usually Whole Foods is the only place I can find it around here.

My cooking tragedies
When I was 12 years old I decided to surprise my parents and make a potato salad. I thought the recipe said cooked potatoes optional so I did not cook the potatoes. I have never lived that one down to this day!
