I love to cook for my husband and my boys. I have 3. I grew up watching my grandma make biscuits and fried chicken and so did they.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy making soups, anything italian and desserts
My favorite family cooking traditions
we always get together at all holidays. I have 2 brothers and between the three of us there are 10 grandchildren so that takes alot of food. after the table is cleared we sit around and play board games, or if its nice we go outside and play ball.

anytime I make something new that the boys love.

never make anything for a party if you haven't made it before.

Ultimate Breakfast Casserole
this was very good. I doubled the cheese and used 4 instead of 3 eggs. It wasn't runny at all

Restaurant Style Egg Custard Pie
Good job Stehpanie. I have been looking for an egg custard recipe like this. It wasn't too sweet. I loved the texture. Here is a tip when combining a hot liquid to an egg mixture. While stirring very quickly, add some of the egg mixture to the hot milk. Then pour the milk into the egg mixture(keep stirring). This keeps the eggs from cooking and turning into scrambled eggs. Personally, I think this dessert is best served completely cold. Next time I might try adding a little almond extract to see how that turns out.
