Glazed Lemon Supreme Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2013
I made this for Thanksgiving for those who were not interested in the traditonal pies and it was a hit. It was not overly sweet and it had the perfect balance of lemon. The only change I made was that I omitted the apricot nectar.

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
I have never made stuffing before so I decided to try this particular recipe for Thanksgiving. It was excellent, exactly like I expected it to taste. I made two batches. In the second batch, I cooked turkey sausage with the onion and celery and then followed the recipe as directed. There was nothing left. Great recipe.

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
This was so good and very easy. I loved the texture of the frosting, fluffy and light. I put this frosting on top of the Sweet Vanilla cupcake that I found on this site.

Grilled Cedar-Planked Salmon

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
This was delicious and so easy, especially since I had everything on hand except the cedar planks. The salmon had lots of flavor but it was not overwelming. This is defintitely better than the boring lemon pepper salmon I make all the time.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
This turned out perfect. I followed the advice of some of the reviewers by doing the following, increasing the flour by 1/2 a cup, decreasing the salt by 1/2 tsp and increasing the baking soda by 1/2 tsp. My husband and kids, who are not big fans of oatmeal raisin cookies, ate the whole batch in no time. I have to make more tonight. Thank you.

Lemon Rosemary Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
This was an excellent dish with very few ingredients. The only changes I made was that I baked the salmon in foil packets and I increased the ingredients for a family of four. My ten year old who is the pickiest eater cleaned his plate.

Caramel Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
I love this recipe!!! Who knew that making caramel popcorn was so easy! I made this for my kids halloween party and I kept munching on them while I was forming them into balls. These are very addictive. I will definitely making them again for the holidays. My son suggested adding honey roasted peanuts next time. Very good recipe!!

This turned out really good. The only thing I changed was that I replaced the walnuts with chocolate chips only because my family does not like walnuts. YUM!!!

Quesadillas II

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2007
This is a great recipe when you want something fast. I happened to have a rotisserie chicken on hand so I cut that up instead and I cooked the quesadilla on top of the stove instead of baking it. My oldest son raved about this one.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
This is the best and easiest apple pie recipe!! I am always looking for apple pie recipes that does not have the sauce runny. I finally found it!! The only thing different is that I tossed the apples with apple pie spice in a bowl before I placed them in the pie crust. This is a definite keeper.

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2007
This is a wonderful dish!! Very light and I love the lemon flavor. My husband kept going back for more. My only change was that I added lemon pepper to the shrimp and let it sit for fifteen minutes before I threw it in the pot with the other ingredients. Very tasty. Thanks again!!!

Blackened Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2006
This turned out very good. I cut the chicken breasts into strips and then tossed the strips with the spice mixture. Also for more heat...I added chili powder to taste. I cooked them all on top of the stove and skipped the oven step. When all were cooked, I tossed them into a caesar salad. HMMMM!! A definite keeper!!!
