Northern Ontario Partridge (Ruffed Grouse)

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
Wow! I remember partridge as tough and chewy. Not anymore! This was fantastic. Cooked mostly as stated. I didn't have chicken stock so I used water and it was fantastic. All the drippings from the birds and bacon make up for it. Used an oven proof skillet too, so didn't have to change pans.

Amazingly wonderful. It is very sweet so I understand how other use less sugar, but I love it the way it is. I allso put mine through my ice cream maker so it didn't have to freeze as long.

Insane Oven Beef Ribs

Reviewed: May 28, 2011
This was great! My husband doesn't like "sweet meat" and this was savory enough for him but sweet enough for me. I saved the sauce from dinner to use as a dip for cocktail weiners and a sauce for hamburgers (allergic to ketchup). The only problem/question I have is that the oil? or something in the sauce didn't set up into the sauce but stayed seperate. Next time I might try to decrease the oil since the meat is fatty enough. Still really YUMMY!!

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

This was a easy recipe to follow and I got rave reviews from half the kids I gave them to. The other participants were dogs, which also gave wonderful reviews. I cooked them for a people and dog friendly treat for the dogs birthday.

Holy toleedo these are amazing!! I think I put in too much paprika or garlic for my kids tastes, but I loved them. These are my new best friend. Interested to try them baked as others have.

Super Easy Doughnuts

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
This recipe was super easy and held up wonderfully to my allergy substitutions, which were; Ener-G egg replacer for egg and oat milk for the milk. I didn't coat them with sugar soon enough so it didn't stick, but they were delicious anyway!

Vegan Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
Very good, but not a lot of flavor. Maybe with some alternate milk (soy, nut, oat, whatever) replacing some of the water? I'll try that next time. Definately a bonus though to find this recipe. Oh! I also substituted 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp cream of tartar for the baking powder because of a corn allergy.

Bread Machine Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
Good bread, made 11 small hot dog buns I would doule for 12 or 14 reg size. Made changes only as necessary for allergies, but may help those w/out certain ingredients. 2T butter- 2T oil, 1/4 dry milk-1/4 oat milk and decrease water by 1/4c.

Chicken Piccata with Artichoke Hearts

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
This was very tasty. I will make it again as is, I skipped the lemon because an allergy, but the taste would improve with it. Next time I may add some vinegar in place of it to give it a zing. It didn't state whether marinated or regular artichokes, mine were marinated

Soft Sandwich Buns

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
These were very good as is. I did make another batch with rice milk and egg substiute (EnerG) and they were still delicious and only very slightly smaller. I would have given this a 5 star, but it used up so much milk. Especially with the rice milk being $14/gallon.

Chicken Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
This recipe was super fast and I had everything on had. I used frozen brocoli. I had to change the cornstartch to flour because of an allergy. To do that just use double the amount of flour. I would like more sauce with it, but it was delicious! Had it on top of chow mein noodles and plain ramen also.
