I'm an American newlywed who's been living in Germany for the past year. I'm having to re-learn how to cook....converting to metrics, not having crisco, bisquick, cream of anything soups, or canned pumpkin (gasp!). They don't even like peanut butter over here.

bread, bread, and bread. WHY OH WHY do I always have to add twice the flour that it calls for? I just don't get it.
