Fabulous Fudge Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: May 25, 2012
How disapointing!!! Lacks in flavour! I added the extra chocolate but still - and surprisingly not sweet enough either! It also tasted too buttery! I thought it was going to be almost as good as black magic cake as the recipe is similar - but no! I`ll definitely be sticking to the other recipe! For all the work this cake took to make... not worth it.

Pumpkin Pecan White Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2012
Num! But of course... I don't follow the recipe exactly. I used only half a cup of salted butter, and the rest pumpkin. I used an extra 1/4 cup of flour, cut down the sugar by a 1/4 cup. I used half white chocolate and half butterscotch. baked at 325 for 25 min. DELISH!

Peanut Butter Cereal O's

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
I was looking for something to satisfy my craving for peanut butter and cereal... I used Rice Krispies for the cereal - crunchy peanut butter and I only had big marshmallows. Also - I put a layer of peanut butter chocolate ganache on top - delish! My rice krispie was a little hard... not enough marshmallow? Not sure. But it was tasty!

Christmas Strawberry Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
Mmmm - VERY GOOD! I used fresh strawberries. I sprinkled brown sugar on top and granulated sugar in the pan instead of flour. Also - used vanilla instead of strawberry extract. The bread is like a dessert loaf! Its delicious! I did not feel the need to add the glaze - great without!

Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
I just had a cookie and it was heaven in my mouth! I followed the 310 temp - I also used golden sugar instead of brown and only 2 tablespoons of white sugar as I used left over halloween candy! I took a small caramilk or snickers etc and wrap it in the cookie dough - so i cut down on the chocolate chips as well. Baked for 15 minutes. Chewy yet crispy. I also added half a tsp of cinnamon. Thanks for the recipe!

Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2011
Ahhh Amazing!!! I ripped apart Save - On looking for crystallized ginger - and found it! I was so intrigued. I didnt have cloves - so I used nutmeg. I also used half margarine and half butter - as I find that margarine helps keep cupcakes moist. My friend works at Starbucks so I added some of their pumpkin spice latte mix into the cupcakes. Other then that followed the recipe exactly - It made 33 huge cupcakes and I just had one without icing and it is heaven- Thanks for the recipe!!! Im keeping this one!

Cinnamon Loaf

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2011
Recipe was very easy to make! I only baked it for about 45 minutes. I added extra cinnamon AND nutmeg to the mix! Next time Ill add even more cinnamon. To both the dry ingredients and the filling. I used the whole filling and used another user reviews idea of adding extra sugar and cinnamon with butter on top - came out crispy and golden! I would also add more vanilla and maybe some walnuts. Thanks for the recipe! The man loved it.

Bertha's Blueberry Dumplings

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
Ive never baked dumplings before... didnt really know what to expect. I added vanilla and used half brown sugar. I also added lemon zest to the dough which was a good move as it added flavour. I would serve it with real whip cream.

Rumbleberry Crisp

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2011
The taste is there - the consistency is not. I used rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and nectarine as my fruit. May make again - probably will try a different recipe first though.

Chocolate Applesauce Cake I

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
Super easy to make! I cut back on the milk - added a bit more applesauce and vanilla. Didnt have dark rum but had Malibu so instead of raisins I used coconut. Used golden sugar instead of white. DELISH! I also didnt sprinkle a full 1/4 cup of rum on top... about two tablespoons. Also only baked for 40 minutes! Great way to use my grandmas homemade applesauce! (she doesnt put sugar)

Real Strawberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
Great recipe! I doubled it and it made 30 cupcakes. I followed the recipe - included the pudding mix. I found that they had a great strawberry flavour! But maybe its because I used very ripe strawberrys :) I did not use the cream cheese icing but instead used a buttercream icing also from this site! It was delish! Definitely would make again!

Black Bean Brownies

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
I was intrigued by this recipe so I just decided to try it out! I had a can of dark red kidney beans so I used that instead of black beans - added the baking powder like the reviews... Just took a bite and they're quite good!!! A recipe I would recommend for sure - for gluten free.

Delicious Feta-Crusted Salmon

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
I'm greek and you'd think that putting feta on my salmon would be something I'd enjoy... Im gonna say that I didnt enjoy it as much- I find that all the ingredients took away from the salmon instead of enhancing the flavour. I would use this recipe if I knew my guest didnt like fish as it takes away the fishy flavour. My man loved it which is why I gave it a 3 whereas I liked it but wouldnt make it again.

Banana Cake Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2011
easy to make - again great way to use up that old banana. I used butter - always use butter. Instead of pecans I put in chocolate chips. Did not make the frosting as I don't think it needed it with the choc. chips. Love the cake like texture - I added vanilla to the batter and instead of cloves i used nutmeg and cinnamon.
