Orange Pecan French Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2005
This was really good, and really easy! I'm making it for the second time this morning. Going to leave out the cinnamon this time. Does fine to make it the night before. Going to make it immediately this time.

Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
I didn't care for these. They were easy though, and I might make again in a pinch. Maybe I'll try again with phyllo cups, definitely not biscuits. Somehow flavor of the topping didn't mesh well at all with the biscuits. Edible, but just that for me.

Annemarie's Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2005
While these did turn out okay, it's definitely not was I was looking for. It makes a really thin bar, I wanted something thicker. It tastes fine, but I will never make again, or if I do, I will triple the filling. THOROUGLY DISAPPOINTED!

Blue Cheese Potatoes Delmonico

Reviewed: May 19, 2005
These were really good. I used raw new poatatoes and baked in the oven for 45 minutes. I would cut down on the butter next time. I scaled it down for 2 people and there wasn't quite enough cream sauce so I would make more of that also.

Mediterranean Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2005
This was really good. I think I might brown the chicken a bit before baking next time for a prettier presentation. Definately salt and pepper the chicken before baking.

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2005
I used fresh tomatoes and added mushrooms and onions. I wasn't really in the mood for a lot of sauce, so I just added enough cream to coat and make a bit of extra sauce. I used baby spinach and just tore it a bit, and added 1/2 cup of cheese. YUM. Hard to go wrong w/this recipe. I'm eating the leftovers cold right now! :)

Cinnamon Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2005
These were good. I didn't have any cinnamon so I didn't use it. I was to impatient to refridgerate the cookie dough before baking so I just dropped a few balls of dough and baked a few right after I got done mixing, and they turned out fine. I froze the rest, and baked them today, same taste as when first mixed. Good recipe.

Doughnut Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2005
Wasn't impressed by these. I can't say they were bad, but nothing great. They really do taste like a snickerdoodle. Not was I was going for. I didn't think they would taste exactly like doughnuts, but maybe a little bit more than they did. They taste like a cake cookie. I won't be making these again.

Bourbon Pecan Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2005
This was really good. I cooked it on a lower heat setting than I usually do when frying things because the pecans started to look like they were going to burn. Keep a close watch on the temperature. I omitted the worscestershire sauce because I didn't have any. Other than that, I scaled the recipe down for two and followed exactly. YUM!

Yummy Garlic Croutons

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2005
Yummy! I used olive oil, and regular sliced white bread. I also added cracked pepper and oregeno. I won't be buying store bought croutons again. I had to make more because I had eaten all of them by the time it time to eat the salad!

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2005
Really good cake. I ended up cooking it in 2 round cake pans to make 2 layers, for prettier presentation. I followed the recipe exactly except for increasing the cinnamon a bit. Would definitely make again!

Orange Curried Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2005
I thought this chicken was yummy. I used skinless, thinly sliced chicken breasts. I omitted the water all together, and added 1/8 cup of soy sauce, and 2 minced garlic cloves for 2 breasts, and served it over rice. This glaze or sauce would also be delicious on baked ribs.
