Italian Wheat Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
These are good! I like that there are no dairy ingredients in this recipe. I do think the rolls are bit big, though. Next time I'll split this into 36 rolls.

Hummus III

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2008
This is so good! I can never find Tahini at the grocery store, so I just threw 1/4 cup of roasted sesame seeds and 1 Tbsp of Oil in. It really came out great. I would recommend blending everything with half of the chick peas before adding the rest. It will help make it smoother so there are no garlic chunks.

Greek Veggie Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
This is a delicious recipe! I was trying to get more veggies into my diet and this recipe was just perfect. I had it for an afternoon snack every day this week. The only change I made was to use Greek dressing instead of Italian.

Italian-Style Spaghetti Squash

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
This recipe is so cool! I've never had spaghetti squash before and I didn't know what to expect. It looks like spaghetti! This doesn't taste like pasta, but it's just as much fun to eat. I felt a lot less guilty about going back for seconds. I added turkey sausage and left out the lemon. It was so good. I will be making this regularly from now on. Great recipe!

Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2005
I will never buy the canned stuff again. This sauce is terrific, quick, and easy to make. I had to double the batch for how many enchiladas I made, but becuase of other reviews I only used 1 can of tomato paste. I will definately continue to use half the tomato paste in the future. The consistancy was perfect.

Chicken, Feta Cheese, and Sun-Dried Tomato Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2004
I tried this recipe because I wanted to try something different. It's very good, but between the sun dried tomatoes, sun dried tomato dressing, and the feta cheese, the flavor was a bit overpowering. If I make this again, I would use a different dressing or less of it with some oil.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2004
This is fantastic! I've had so many people request this recipe. I'm really glad I found this recipe. I grew up in Chicago where you can order this anywhere you can buy pizza or a hot dog, but here in Phoenix no one has ever heard of it. It's my little taste of home. This is even better when you replace the water with chicken broth.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2004
I really wanted to like this recipe. It's so easy to make. The first time I made it and it came out horrible, I thought I'd done something wrong. The second time was just as bad. The beef is so bland, the gravy is runny, the color is unappealing, and the only flavor in the whole meal is salt. This recipe is a good example of how the masses aren't always right. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Delicious Fish Smoothies

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2004
This is a great recipe. It's too bad that there are ignorant people out there who would call this a joke or a bad dream without even trying it. This is a really good way to have a protein smoothie without all of the artificial protien powders. It just takes creamy. My fiance and I didn't really notice the fish. I though it tasted much better than the chemically processed powder we would normally use to get our protien. Thank you Kayla!

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2003
This is a great recipe. I made it with an italian beef recipe I also found on this site. http://beef.allrecipes.com/AZ/SlowCookerItalianBeefforSa.asp June, I think you might have a bread machine like mine. It incorporates a rise cycle into the dough cycle which means we get to skip step 2. :) Maybe yours was extra heavy because it sat for too long after the yeast was activated, but I've made it 3 times now and I haven't gotten a very light or fluffy bread. This is supposed to be a nice, dense sandwich bread.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2003
This is a good recipe, but I don't think everyone made it right. A few reviewers mentioned the bacon and the sunflower seeds getting soft. The recipe states to put them in right before serving. This leaves them nice and crunchy and gives the salad a nice balance.

Sugar Cookies VII

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2002
These cookies were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. You can't expect amazing cookies unless you're willing to go the extra mile and try one of the other sugar cookie recipes that have 15 different ingredients in them. I picked these cookies because it's a very simple recipe and I had all the ingredients on hand. The only thing I didn't like too much was that the dough was really thick and I had a hard time working with it. Because of the other reviews, I didn't roll out the dough or cut shapes. I just dropped them and they came out perfectly shaped. Crispy on the outside with a soft, chewey inside. Overall, these were good cookies. Perfect for the house, but if I needed a batch to impress, I would try one of the more elaborate recipes on this site.

Can't Tell They're Low-fat Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2002
These were really good. I am a chocoholic with an unforgiving scale. This is a great way to satisfy chocolate cravings without the extra pounds. I ate half of the pan the night I made these. The only thing I did different was I used 4 egg whites to cut down on fat and cholesterol. My boyfriend thought they were too spongy, but other than that we loved them!

Strawberry Soup IV

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2002
I was pretty skeptical about this recipe at first. I've never had soup for dessert before, but this was really good. I followed the recipe except that I didn't have 3 hours to chill it, so I put it in the freezer for an hour. It was really good, and nice and frothy. My boyfriend and I both liked it.

Fat Free Refried Beans

I thought this recipe was okay but I found the liquid smoke too overpowering. One thing that bothers me though... the name of this recipe. The beans have fat in them. :(

Creamy Bacon Cheddar Dressing

My boyfriend and I really thought that this dressing was bland. I made it with potato soup that had cheese and bacon in it expecting to have a cheese and bacon themed night, but this just tasted like mayonase.

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: May 28, 2002
This is the best Artichoke and Spinach Dip in the world! Once we discovered how great the recipe was, I made it two more times that week! My mother came over and we made double the amount and ate it with water crackers while drinking pina coladas and playing scrabble. We hardly played at all, though. We couldn't stop eating that dip! I think this is a fantastic recipe, but for our tastes I added a tsp. of cayenne pepper and a little more garlic. Wonderful dip!

Easier Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: May 28, 2002
I thought this recipe was okay, but I didn't really think it was that great. My boyfriend really isn't that picky, but even he wouldn't eat it. He ACTUALLY made his own dinner instead. I wouldn't make it again.
