Tomato and Avocado Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2009
This is a great recipe for dinner or an appetizer. I added 1 clove of minced garlic, and then topped with crumbled feta cheese. Do not refrigerate tomato or avocado, best if they are at room temperature. Dressing can be chilled. I am very lucky to live in So. Cal and am able to get fresh hass avocado's and tomato's from the local farmer's market for this recipe.

Romano Cheese Crisp

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
This is a great change from regular garlic bread. I used two head of roasted garlic mixed it with the cream cheese in a food processor, then mixed in by hand the romano cheese and some dry parsley. It went well with the Tomato and Garlic Pasta on this site.

Tomato and Garlic Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
This is a great recipe. Use only fresh tomatoes, score bottom of tomato with X and place in very hot water and then in ice water, this will make it easy to peel. Increased recipe 4lbs tomato, 6 cloves garlic, 3 tbsp of basil, 3tbsp fresh parsley, 8 oz can of italian herb tomato sauce, 2 tbsp tomato, paste, 1/4 cup of white wine, 1 pkg of red peppers(we like spicey). Can add shrimp. The use of all the fresh ingredients makes this recipe great! I made this for a family dinner and had to cook more pasta because the first batch was all gone.

Antipasto Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
I made the dressing but did not care for the flavor so I used Bersteins Italian Dressing and added some pepperchinis. Tossed it all together. Everyone enjoyed and I was asked to make it for a baby shower.

Sausage Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
I made this recipe into appetizers and they were a big hit I added a cup of shredded pepper jack cheese after sausage has time to cool so it does not melt. Seperate crescent rolls into rectangles and press seams together. Cut each into fours. Put a spoonful of the mixture on each and surround meat mixture totally with dough and make sure seams are sealed. Kind of roll into balls. Makes 30 great sausage appetizer. Omitted egg white and poppyseed, just brush tops with butter

Baked Potato Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2003
Add this to cubed cut frozen hash browns and bake. I did add the ranch dressing mix and used real bacon, but was not impressed with it at all as a chip dip. It does go very well with potatoes, so I added it to a package of frozen hash browns and half a can of cream of chicken soup. Bake for about 45 min at 350. I was brave and took this new recipe to a pot luck. I went home with an eempty dish and many request for the recipe
