Strawberries and Cream Cake

Reviewed: May 8, 2002
This was my first homeade cake and it was absolutely delicious! This is a very easy recipe to follow and it is fun to make. My family thought I must have bought it from a bakery, they still don't believe that I made it!

Breaded Center Cut Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 14, 2002
I used 1/2 inch chops instead and adjusted cooking time to 40 min. They were very tender and moist. Thumbs up from my husband! The water in the bottom definitely makes a big difference! Thanks for sharing!

Lemony Skillet Chicken and Shallots

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2002
This recipe is excellent! I used thin cutlets instead of breasts (adjusting cooking time for less). I also added fresh garlic w/the shallots & some white wine w/the fresh lemon juice.I will make this dish over & over again, it's become a new favorite!

Easy Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2003
This was absolutely delicious! It's so moist and the topping really makes it! Thanks! OK, this last review was 9/11/03 and it's now 5/5/05. I must review again because I've been making this for over a year now and I have to say This is the best meatloaf recipe, really! My husband flips over this. He says, " I love the way you make your meatloaf, I've never had better!" This is the best compliment, considering the fact that his Mom is an excellent cook, ( in my opinion as well as his.). That means, my meatloaf is better than Mom's, Thanks to you! Don't change a thing - the recipe is perfect as is!

Great recipe! I had sea bass & porgy's - no idea what to do with the porgy's. Both types of fish came out excellent!I also put a little fresh garlic on fillets & brushed on butter & lemon before broiling. Will use over & over again!! Can't wait to try on tilapia! Thank you!!

Fish Chowder I

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2003
I have to review this recipe again because it's just soooo good! This time, I added celery, mushrooms & scallions w/ the bacon & onion sautee, also used half & half instead of milk and chicken broth in place of the water for potatoes. I also added 1 can of corn - again I used leftovers, grilled swordfish steaks in a terriyaki marinade. I have not tried raw fish yet, but this recipe will work with anything - very versitile and absolutely perfect!! I get such great compliments on this dish, you have to try this! Thank you again for an awesome recipe!

Apple Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2003
WOW! These were delicious! I used stove top prepared instead of bread cubes, added some cooked sausage & used a granny smith apple (great flavor). I also used a brown sugar glaze on top - 1/2c brown sugar mixed with 1/4c melted butter & spread over top of chops (only 4 chops). This recipe is a definite keeper! Thanks alot!

Easy BBQ Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2004
This is a great recipe! I used 1 cup of BBQ sauce & removed foil for the last 5 min to thicken sauce as per other reviewers. I also used 6 breast halves and there was still plenty of sauce leftover for a side dish (cheesy mashed potatoes - yum!). Cooked for 45 min - Perfect! Thank you! I'll keep this one forever!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

WOW! WOW! WOW! This is the best chicken I have ever made and chicken is one of my specialties (or so I thought until now!)My husband flipped over this - I did add 1/2 lemon & 4 garlic cloves to the cavity along w/the onion. I let the chicken rest for about 45min to 1 hour - the meat was falling off the bone - delicious! Gravy was also excellent! 5 Hours - Perfect!! Thank you! I'll keep This forever & ever!!

Leftover Chicken a la King

Excellent! It definitely needs at least 1/2 tsp more of the cornstarch to thicken, I also added some parmesan cheese. My husband raved over it & it was so easy! Thanks!

Angel's Old Fashioned Beef Stew

Reviewed: May 11, 2004
The perfect beef stew recipe! This is the best recipe by far. I like to add garlic & mushrooms along w/onion sautee. I also used water (after boiling) & beef bouillion cubes since I did not have canned broth on hand. This recipe is great by itself, and also very versitile - you can add whatever you want according to your personal taste. I will never try another beef stew recipe again! Thank You!!

Pork Chop Pileups

Reviewed: May 11, 2004
This was very easy, convenient and pretty good. I have to give it 4 stars because it was so easy to put together and also made a nice one-dish dinner served with biscuits or bread. I thought it was alright, not great. My husband said he thought it was good but didn't rave over it. I may make it again sometime. Thanks.

Dutch Apple Pie with Oatmeal Streusel

Great recipe! I actually made 4 of these last year throughout apple season, and forgot to review. Well it's apple season again and every function I go to they all remember this pie, so I am and will be making many more. I highly recommend you try this, you'll get raves from family & friends! Thanks for a great recipe!

Grilled Delmonico Steaks

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
This recipe was ok, but not great. I thought the marinade overpowered the steaks a little too much. I gave it three stars because a couple of people said they liked it, but I really didn't care for it. Sorry.

Cola Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
Great new way to serve pork chops! I mixed in the brown sugar instead of sprinkling on top & marinaded about an hour. Also, if you want the marinade to stay on top of chops, just put a little bit of marinade on bottom so chops don't burn and pack them tightly together without any extra space on the sides. Then pour marinade over and it will come out thick & almost glazed on top. My hubby loved this! Definite keeper! Thank You!!

Buttery Cooked Carrots

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
This was really very good. I only gave it 4 stars because it was a little watery. I think I may skip the carrot water next time and just sautee the butter & brown sugar. I'll definitely try this again. Thanks!
