Chocolate Candy Bar Cake

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
This is a wonderfully moist cake and is not too sweet. I made it in two 9-inch pans and needed to bake it about 38 minutes total. Everyone enjoyed it!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
I made this soup last night and used Chicken Broth instead of water and bouillon. I sauteed onion, celery, and carrots in a bit of olive oil first, then added the ham and potatoes to the broth mixture with the veggies. The butter/flour mixture gave it a lusterous, rich base...yummy! I will make this again for sure.

Oven Baked Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2008
I used four cans of chicken broth for this recipe, and it turned out perfect. I think next time I might cut the rice down to 3 cups, so the texture will be a bit more soupy. Instead of andouille sausage, I used someleftover grilled brats that I had stored in the freezer. What a wonderful taste! The seasonings were perfect. I will be making this for an upcoming dinner party that I will be hosting.

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
My boyfriend loved this dip--and he doesn't even like blue cheese! Of couse he didn't know this while he was eating it. I told him after he licked the plate clean. Everyone else loved it as well. An outstanding recipe!

A nice, light finish for a heavier meal. I made this at Christmas and everyone loved it. It freezes very well.

Rugelach

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
Although the end product of this recipe is delicious, I found the dough extremely hard to work with. It seemed to tear, even though I had chilled it for 24 hours. If I made these again, I would definitely brush the pastry with butter before putting on the cinnamon-nut mixture.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2007
I made this on Christmas Eve and received spectacular reviews! I used 2 pkgs. of Good Seasons Italian Dressing Dry Mix, a bottle of beer, and 1 cup of water, and then added the spices listed in the recipe. So easy and so good. This is a new Christmas Eve tradition at my house! Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2003
These cookies are the best I have ever made. They are crispy on the edges and chewy in the middle. They melt in your mouth. I have received so many wonderful comments from people that have tried these. I usually triple the ingredients when I make them, so that I can freeze some. Aimee, thanks so much for the ultimate recipe!
